If they claim needing Impulse is DRM then I LOL at them. Steam would fall into this same category as Impulse....LOL @ them. From my own experience you only need impulse for updates and multiplayer. You can play SP tournaments and Skirmishes wihtout the need of an internet connection. I read some of the posts and again LOL@them -Jollyrigger
Game is running fine with slowdowns or hitches for me. Here's my setup: Intel Core 2 DUO E8400 @3.00GZ (stock speed) 4GB RAM XFX 9800 GTX+ (using 185.68 drivers) Windows VIsta 64-bit SP1 /all updates applied. I do not put much faith in reviews anymore. Gamespot especially really ticks me off. They released a poor review for Men of War last month then had to retract it because the review wasn't accurate and completely off base. I'm one of those who will buy games with 6.0 or above ratings and occasionally I find the extremely poorly rated games(6.0 or below) actually fun to play. Just a note. In my area one of the local Best Buy stores pulled the Demigod CE's off the shelf after getting many returned copies due to "serial keys already in use". They left the standard editions on the shelf as they had no issues with users bringing them back. Thought I'd share this with you. -Jollyrigger
If you use Comodo Firewall and have the retail boxed copy of Demigod then you should just launch it through Impulse as opposed to the shortcut . I noticed my copy of Demigod wouldn't launch after clicking the shortcut so I loaded up Impulse and clicked run and Demigod launched. Workaround if your shortcut won't launch Demigod: - Launch Impulse -Find Demigod in your games list and click run. Demigod should run for you perfectly.
