I like were these is going. Some thoughts... As I see it a pretty common scenario is a Ragequiter flips out and quits within 3 minutes of the game start. So now the rest of the participants have 3 options as I see it: 1. Everyone quits right after - Ragequiter ruins the game and does not get a rage quit (I'm not a fan of this) 2. Everyone left concedes - Ragequiter does not get a rage quit (I'm not a fan of this) 3. Everyone i

So why not suggest having the dev's look at the problem items in question, rather then go through the hassle of implementing a system to not include some items in game play. Personally I would find it anoying to join a game that has been modified as such.
Do you recall if Erebus was targeted by you at his time of death?
Reasons my friends don't buy a copy of Demigod: Too hard to play with each other online (sounds like you guys are working on this) Playing online is NOT a great experience right now. Yes I have had some very fun games. But by large most games involve people who quit, disconnect, etc. AI is poor, so playing alone is not much fun (sounds like you guys are working on the AI, but lets face it, it will never replace playing other people) <l
Even if the upgrade is available, I always suggest getting the full OS disk. 1. It's a good oportunity to clean up your machine (when going from Vista to 7) 2. As Annatar hinted, it's nice to have the full disk for future needs
Blizzard has been doing the "no official release date" dance for years. They do it with game releases, bug fixes, patches, etc. From a dev perspective I understand this policy. In reality development rarely goes exactly as expected. Add to this how immature game communities can get with "broken promises" and I understand why some companies have this policy. Then again, why not satis
...but in the midst of all this I'm reading posts from management giving their team the weekend off and kudos to their devs for extensive new AI code ... unbelievable.
[e digicons]X|[/e] Wow, remind me to never work on your dev team. Are comments like this really necessary? These guys are working hard and have made lots of improvements. Taking the weekend off is going to have little effect on anything in t
Best PC FPS of all time: Quake 2 - Perfect maps, bots, skins for it's time. No one played PC games when I moved into one of my college houses. By the time I graduated, every room had at least 1 PC on my lan for Quake 2 and Red Alert 1. Best Console FPS of all time: Goldeneye 007 - Very well done for it's time. Still remember people yelling "Dont' look at my corner of the screen!"
Be a pal and fork the $20 over for your bud while he is out of town..."look, early birthday present!" [e digicons][/e] PS: Their has been no issues that I have seen for LAN play.
Maybe it's worth sending some of your details to support? [e digicons][/e]
the game is pretty stable for almost everyone. That's not true. My computer is no where near crappy but I have gotten innumerable "Fatal Exception" windows pop up behind the game spelling its doom, random freezes (usually when the game is starting after matchmaking) which you can't control alt delete out of, and various lock ups and even the occasional rare "Crash to desktop with no explanation whatsoever"
Yes. Can't wait for random DG selection
I'm pro ban. In fact I would say I'm pro IP and payment ban to help keep the community clean in the future.
Believe it or not, stylists are not perfect...in fact I bet a few people in this word have ended up with bad perms, too short of hair, or the wrong color. The key is, if they learn from their mistakes and work hard to right what is wrong. I think Stardock is donig just that and keeping us well informed along the way.
Personally I think thats taking advantage of Stardock's return policy. The game is solid as you said, if you can't deal with some growing pains then I suggest going to console games.
Stardock's stance on DRM, their openess to the comunity, support, and their return policy is a breath of fresh air compaired to what gamers have had to deal with in the past. I just can't immagine why people would return anything Stardock has currently released. Stardock would have to put out a pretty awefull game (demigod is FAR from awefull) for me to even consider a return...even then I doubt I would.
Never ran the upgrade advisor, yet I'm running Windows 7 RC1 on one of my older boxes for testing purposes. This machine was built a while back, right before WoW beta came out, so in today's standards it's not a great machine. It does however run most modern games on low graphics settings without problems. This machine previously had XP on it. That being said, so far I have had no problems with Windows 7. In fact, I'm still a little suprised how well it works c
