i quit gaming online cause its no that fun any more. in todays gaming society there are 2 kinds of ppl, true gamers and the fad-gamers. and its these fadist that ruin it for the gamers.
I guess I'm just lucky but I really don't have very many problems with people online. I've played a lot of L4D and have only come across total a-holes maybe 2-3 times, about 4-5 rage quitters and only occassionally get the guy that runs off

I think you were largely correct in your thought process. If a group of DGs is pushing a lane, it means they are pretty confident that they can handle the push. That leaves the rest of the map open for your team to take back control of all open flags as well as start your own push. Once they see that they are quickly losing the Warscore fight AND their base is being pushed, they will have to widthdraw from their attack unless they already had a huge level/gear/gold/warscore advantage ove

Hmm, I guess my alias is set to ProxyByRef however my original account is under axyun. Try axyun or Axyun. I changed my alias to ProxyByRef after several cases of people having a hard time trying to pronounce Axyun however the account is still called axyun.

I second Fred, its fine for almost everyone. I regularly play 1-2 matches online per night and several matches offline from time to time. No technical issues and not too hard to get a 2v2 or 3v3 going online. I was having technical issues at 1 point but it just turned out to be data corruption due to fragmentation. I uninstalled demigod, did a full defrag overnight and reinstalled. Problems went away.

I'm on the L4D boat too. Usually play 1-2 rounds a night. Steam nickname is ProxyByRef. I've never left a game and always stick with the team. If anything, I love watching wipes. I do my best to avoid them but they crack me up when they happen. It's funny how everything gets so hectic, frenetic and disorganized as survivors start dropping one at a time. Always play as Advanced. Normal is too easy but Expert is downright insane. Advanced is just right. Oh, and Louis FTW!</
Quoting Axyun, reply 8 Personally I think mode changing on QoT is OK because she can move while changing. TB is not OK and he should also be able to move while changing. When I play QoT, I have no problems mixing Open/Closed skills. When I play TB, I go exclusively fire or ice, specially on small maps where you barely have time to change. As Chaoticon said, playing a hybrid TB and switching forms with

Then focus on one till your great with him the start to diversify again. What I do and seems to be great, I know what everyone can do but I also am really good with one hero.
What he said. I've been slowly completing a single player tournament with each Demigod to learn their basic moves/abiltie

Dawn2 match making does not work fine for me. Maybe I'm in the 5% that has connection problems in that game. Edit: Woops, quoted wrong person. While some people don't care for AIs, I care about Dawn2s AI considering I can't reliably play online.

I can wait. I work in software development and know how long it can take to solve something of this complexity, even if it "has been done before." While SD hopes that the proxies today/tomorrow will solve a good portion of the problem, I think that it will be another month or two before things are in really good shape. Look at Dawn of War 2. The game has been out for over 3 months and they still haven't gotten match making down properly. The lobby is non-existing (doesn't even have a

I play a couple of matches each night. For MP, I'm cycling between this, Dawn of War 2 and L4D. For SP, I'm playing Fallout 3 (lost my last record so had to restart *sniff*) and Sins of a Solar Empire.

I don't think they should cross over. Sure, generals can be played like assassins but all generals pretty much have 1 and only 1 assassin-like build, whereas assassins can spec in multiple ways and still be assassins. The main reason why we see so many assassin builds for generals is because idols and minions are fairly lackluster. They require more gold investment and micromanagement to pull off than just focusing on self-only skills. I say they should take a hard look at how people

Honestly, I dislike the idea. The General line of Demigods already has too many support-related abilities. I'd rather see an offensive debuffer than another support buffer. Some of the spell ideas sound neat and I'd rather part of their purpose be incorporated into existing demigod abilities that needs some buffs. Additionally, Immunity and Gold-income skills already exist on the General side in Oak and QoT respectively. I think a debuffer would go well in the General side bec

Stardock won me over with Sins of a Solar Empire. I bought demigod on release without thinking twice and have no regrets. And I'm patiently waiting for the next Sins mini-expansion after Entrenchment.

Thank god he is gone. Self-entitled, self-absorbed and disrespectful would be the perfect way to describe him. I used to think he was funny at first until I started to realize he was full of himself. Its easy to mistake sarcasm and humor on the web but several of his posts started to make me think he actually believes half the stuff he talks about. And I've seen several good threads de-railed by his trolling and need for attention. The community will be better off without him.

I can see this being a pain. 4 tower spamming Rooks with speed items have the potential to dominate. They can each grab a lane and block it with towers. If any one of them is being attacked by more than 1 DG, the others have plenty of time to come to their allies aid and spam even more towers. However, this is part of a much larger problem and that problem is DG stacking. Played a 2v2 game against 2 spit/grasp specced UBs in Prison. They always traveled together with speed items

Good discussion here. I just came back from a losing streak of games playing as Oak and found that I'm also having difficulty playing him early game. The advice here looks pretty solid and I will try out a few of these combinations though I have one question? Does Penitence interrupt spell casting? It doesn't say so anywhere in the tool tip yet I keep seeing you guys say to interrupt fireballs/heals/towers/etc with it.

Urk. After reading that preview link, that does not sound like SupCom at all. Very disappointed. I was looking forward to a more polished and diversified SupCom.

I agree with a lot of what you have said, to a point. However, I am fortunate enough that I enjoy both SupCom and Star/WarCraft so I hold no bias for one or the other. I can understand if someone prefers one play style over the other. I wish that SupCom 2 is closer to SupCom than to SC if only because I don't want to end up with a bunch of strategy games that all play the same but have different graphics. SupCom, DoW2 and SC all three focus on very different aspects, with SC2 being in

I can't offer a solution to your specific problem but hopefully my experiences can give you some insight or atleast some ideas to try out. 1. I usually play online with my brother behind the same NAT and we have to take port forwarding off the router when playing together because only the person who has the ports forwarded to their machine can connect to other players. 2. I also have a Netgear router (forgot the model) and it comes with an option called Port Triggeri

FYI After the last patch I started getting some random crashes after 10-15 minutes into any game. Prior to the last patch, I never crashed once. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled by downloading from Star Dock. Now it works perfectly again. Those with crashing problems might want to try uninstalling/reinstalling again.
