In anticipation for Disciples 3, I recently bought Disciples 2 Gold + Guardians of the Light and Servants of the Dark from Steam. Unfortunately, Guardians and Servants do not work in windowed mode while Rise of the Elves does. Is there any way for me to play the Guardians and Servants campaigns in Rise of the Elves? Or maybe use the Rise of the Elves exe to launch Guardians and Servants?
Kinda not too keen on L4D2. I love L4D and play it nearly daily however this is expansion material. I wouldn't mind shelling $20-$30 for this content but pushing it for full retail price is a bit too much. And Valve should know better, the L4D community didn't really kick off until they started offering the game at half-off ($25) on Steam. But, even money aside, I'm still dubious about this expansion. The music is corny, the setting is meh (special infected wearing over-alls?), the on
I've made some pretty good comebacks in the past even from teams that farmed our noob asses all the way to top gear. We realized that we couldn't out DPS them so we sold most of our gear, teched to giants, and bought reinforcement damage and armor. 6-7 mins later, GG we won.
This is were things start to go downhill. Even though they're 'just minors,' taking one is also destroying an entire civilization. Doing that two times fairly quickly, which it sounds like you did, tends to make the AIs think you might warming up for total conquest, which means you need to be put in your place quickly. If by chance you are leaning towards or formally evil and the majority of the others are not, that could
Thanks for the heads up Neilo, will check those links out when I get home from work tonight. I played my first game yesterday night and I'm absolutely loving the game. Since most RTSs are combat-heavy (or combat only), I decided to try winning through influence, diplomacy and economy. Started on a small map, beginner difficulty and 5 opponents. Things were a bit rough at first as I was getting used to the game but then I started climbing up the overall power chart until I hit
To be more specific, highlight the planet on the main map, then look in the box at the bottom-center of the screen. Influence is given as a number, then another number in parentheses, for example 56 (0.23) The first is the influence generated by that planet. The second is the ratio of your influence on the planet compared to the influence of the empire with the next highest influence at that location. For reference, your

I just bought the Galactic Civilizations 2 gold bundle from Impulse and I'm reading over the manual but have a question related to influence: When you build an embassy on a planet, does it increase all of your planet's influence or just that one planet's influence? I'm wondering because since research is global, I can make a research center heavy planet to increase teching. Is it possible to build an embassy heavy planet to increase your overall influence or will it just make th
Blizzard takes forever for their games. I don't see D3 or SC2 coming out anytime too soon. SC2 will likely come out first though. Apparently they have rebuilt both D3 and SC2 multiple times each ending in failure. And as much as I loved D1 and D2 I'm a bit shaky on D3. The team is the WoW team that is building it and their influence is VERY heavy in the art direction which is NOT a diablo art direction. Oh and of course SC2 is ganna be a carbon co
Because of the "upload problems" : Are there any plans to kick the P2P-system in future and change to a "real server system" ? Most MP games are using real servers and they haven't any problems with slow uploads... people who spent money in DG wont play 3vs3 forever, best games are 4vs4 or 5vs5 ! the problem is, that there are many networks including 2-5 computers.
(post removed)
You are so badass. Man, I wish I could be like you.
Good luck on your Civ4 venture. I just started playing Civ4 for the first time ever a few days ago and I'm still learning the ropes. Game's fun but much more involved than I thought. Its weird because the AI handles a lot for you yet you should know how to do everything manually so you can appreciate what you are working towards and so that you can min/max during times of war.
This game could be decent? It's already great. The new content on the way will make it even better. I can connect to games just fine too.
I typically avoid games were one side has multiple of the same demigod. Rather lame. I avoid those games after I played a 2v2 VS 2 spit-n-grasp UBs. Cheapest shit I've ever seen. Had a 3v3 were the other team kept quickly switching to all-Regulus. Managed to cancel the ready button before the game started and left afterwards. I think 1 instance of a DG per side sounds reasonable (meaning there could be 2 DGs of the same kind just across both sides). The difference betw

IE8 It does poorly in ACID3 but that's irrelevant since the spec hasn't been 100% nailed down yet. It actually does ACID2 better than FF, though. I do have FF installed for sh*ts and giggles and did use it for a while but found myself having to switch to IE for some sites. Considering IE8 is actually good (not great), I see very little reason to use FF over it nowadays. I can see if I were into plugins but the only plugin I like is Firebug and IE8 comes with its own
Good job Bman, hopefully the devs will take a look at this and implement a formal patch ASAP. Cheers!
Btw, I'm looking to get a good mic for L4D. I already have a great pair of headphones so I don't want to get a mic/headset combo. Anyone got any recommendations for a good stand-alone mic?
