Well I bought my computer and came with Vista, after 2 weeks I "upgraded" to XP.. it stayed that way until the first beta of Windows 7, I downloaded the 64 bit version and installed in a small partition. Boy!, I must say I'm impressed its as fast as XP (if not faster) and slick looking.. I have Demigod Installed and UT III, both work like a charm.. I'll buy it the minute it goes for sale.. (ok I've got Ubuntu9.04 too and would use it for DG instead of W7 if the game work
Well I believe that a mixed strategy is what counts.., and it really depends on the game type. For example I never use tower upgrades but on fortress matches (if u dont u get slammed, and fast too!), Mint is fine once u get the gold going, and maybe experience too. But I play mostly for Flag control (really a good way to win in Citadel Matches and Flag control matches). How about a new game objective like.. Kill the titan, where a Powerful monster is trapped (on purpouse by the other GODS and is let loose after 10 minutes), the objective would be to take it down or survive longer than your enemy.. this might work in a big map. Also the flags would give you some good boosts, so still there would be a tactical point in conquering the flags even after the Titan is loose .. I know!, this needs to be worked a lot.. but might play well with the lore.. offering a G
I tried two games after the Update.. this is my report: Test Case 1: First game I tried it connected really fast so it was a dream.. Test Case 2: After that 1st game I tried another one.. I saw the connections starting to go through but then somebody decided to leave and then no one else could complete the connection.. so I canceled.
