I changed my Impluse user name via the forum website, but when I'm actually in the game most screens still use my original username. Is there a way to get them synced up? It's lame seeing my real name in multiplayer :)
I posted on another thread that I had the exact same symptoms as some of the guys above (stutering sound, extremly bad performance) and updating my sound drivers (SB Audigy 2) solved the problems. So update all your drivers, make sure your DirectX is up to date, etc.
sure: AMD Athlon X2 4200+ (2.2Ghz dual core... ancient) 2GB Ram Nvida 260GTX video (896MB) SoundBlaster Audigy 2 sound Windows XP sp3 Dell 1600x1200 LCD display I'm running at 1600x1200, with most settings either High or Medium, with AA off and Vsync off. Dunno the FPS, but it looks and plays fine. I'll probably bite the bullet and upgrade to an i7 system soon :)
I had problems with slide-show like performance and distorted/stuttering sound, which seems like some others are having as well. All I had to do was to update my drivers... just like they say to in the manual :) The culprit for me was the sound (SB Audigy 2) drivers. The game was unplayable before, but now that I updated the drivers the games runs quite well on my relatively weak PC.
