Yeah, because porting RTS-like games to consoles has worked out so well in the past.
Bingo. Console RTS are so horrible. PS3 or X360, a console will not do Demigod justice it deserves.

Thank you for giving it a try, glad it helped!
Whats up everyone. Just letting players know that I have posted a guide to Oak tank on gamereplays.org. http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/portals.php?show=page&name=demigod-strategy-guide-oak-assassin-build Check it out if you need a place to start off at as Oak. I'm in the process of writing another one on a different Oak approach so stay tuned. [e digicons]B)[/e]
I like the look of your build, but from a fellow Oak player to another, I will offer you some insight. Ive found that getting Divine Justice before getting Surge of Faith increases Oak's survivablilty. Granted, I get Surge of faith as soon as I get Divine Justice as everytime I use SoF, I get an AoE heal which stacks (as multiple guys die at the same time). Toy around with your skills and see what you come up with!
That would be insane if they got stronger with each kill, I would probably end up pulling my hair out if I were faced up against the towers. The tower upgrade for the Rook is great as it is a nice trap to lure enemy Demigod's into in multiplayer games (2v2's, 3v3's, etc.) and great to fall back into.
I did have an account back when Dawn of War: Soulstorm came out but I just remade mine on GR.org (literally just 10 minutes ago [e digicons]:D[/e] ), so I have 3 posts so far. This definitely is a great opportunity so I will send in an application to you DalzK.
Even though Gamespot is one of the well known reviewing sites, I dont credit them as reliable. That review is nothing to me. I am glad IGN took note of the gameplay. The gameplay is fantastic, definitely worthy of a 9/10. I am especially greatful to the 1up reviewer for saying that he will re-review it when all the kinks are worked out. They know this game's potential to be spectacular is huge. Its evident that this game has its fair share of problems and as a result the reviews on it
As an Oak player, the Rook is one of those DG's that are a real pain. Oak can tank the Rook 1v1 without the use of minions. The key here is Oak's shield and timing when to throw it up and timing Penitence. The way Ive handled 1v1 Rook is to get close to him, so he will be constantly re-adjusting to get a good Hammer placement. As soon as you see that hammer go in the air, nab him with Penitance and the Rook will be sitting duck
The game definitely deserves a re-review. I am glad this guy acknowledged that the game has issues and its not fair to make a stone review at this point in time.
I dont know about plushies, but I think the Collectors Edition of Demigod comes with the Rook miniature. I wish I had gotten the Collectors Edition. That being said though, the Rook is an awesome character. I love his character design, without a doubt one of the coolest looking game characters out there. Its why hes on the box cover of the game. Matter of fact, my wallpaper is a Demigod wallpaper featuring the Rook. If I were any good at art and photo manipulation, I would make an Oak
Late post, but a big thanks to all the guys working on this game.
You wont need that much of movement speed as penitence already debuffs your oponents speed for quite a bit
You might not need it, but having a speed buff will make your Oak that much more of an efficient killer. Today I was playing around with the boot sets and I managed to catch-up to each enemy DG I hit with Penitance 1 and kill them outright. The shield for Oak is really a great skill, but it seems like it doesnt get enou
Hi again... I just cant see how you guys are thriving at low levels with penitence and shield. Those skills seem really futile at low levels, cant imagine you get beefy with them until later in the game. I've tried going penitence and shield builds early but it seems much weaker to my raise dead/soul power/surge/divine combo.
Another Oak player here, I dont agree with putting points into Raise Dead Ward early on because it requires dead troops to get the spirits. Compared to the other generals, its not worth it early game. It takes longer to get the spirits out and they're rather fragile early on (compared to Yeti's, and the tree guys QoT gets). The setup I use for Oak is similar to this guide, a few changes in the order of when I get which skill, but Oak becomes extremely powerful if you set up the debuff + shiel
Cool guide, Sedna is a pretty awesome DG (partly because of the amazing boobies :3 ). But seriously, this is a super detailed guide, kudos. [e digicons]:D[/e]
