Sound Issues in Demigod Technical Support Demigod Forums

I seem to be having some sound issues which causes the game to lag severely as well as making the cpu run at full capacity. Once I turned the sound off, I no longer had these problems. Changing the quality doesn't make the game improve enough to play. I currently have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE and my drivers are up to date. Does anyone know a solution to this?
