Do you have Cool & Quiet (CnQ) enabled in Bios? It could be a bug that is causing your CPU to drop it's clock speed, as at 3Ghz your computer should have no problems with 5v5. Try disabling CnQ in your BIOS, and see if the problem persists. Are you running 32bit XP? You may be running out of RAM as 32bit has a limit of ~3.8GB, minus the 896MB of your GPU it leaves you with 2GB useable - you may just be ruinning out of RAM when running AI for c
The only way this would be viable would be if Demigod moved to a server/client network model - which would require a rewrite of the entire network susbsystem. Granted, a server/client model would be fantastic, but GPG certainly aren't ever going to give it a second thought. I dream of the day someone makes a mod that lets us have a 30 player dedicated server with a constant epic Demigod war :p
Its range is too negligable....
Indeed - even if it were free, it wouldn't be worth taking as it uses an item slot. It really needs a buff to the warpable distance before it can be a viable item.
the goggles should reveal the potion as being poisoned
The goggles should also make you a cup of tea, and end world hunger. It's the only way they'll ever be chosen in an actual game.
My only concern is that whenever rankings are visible from inside the game that I will be kicked from every game I join.
Not everyone is a rank-whore :) I've no problem playing with newbs, and definately won't kick people from games just because they're not that great - the game's there to enjoy, not to win and gloat.
abuggeredhedie has said most of the key comments. The two lifesteal rings are great alongside your passive attack skills, and definately keep you in the fight for longer. Try to pre-empt enemies coming so you can lay down towers - and always run if there's two in the vacinity - the thing with Rook is to know when to run (start running a lot earlier than with any other DG). Try and team up with someone - it infuriates people when they're getting chased by your team-mate,
What's an ultimate?
It's a very hard hitting nuke. Usually costs a shed-load of mana, takes ages to cooldown, but is extremely damaging. Reg's mines when maxxed out could be considered an ult, although I think the original intention was for his snipe to be an ult - it just doesn't scale well at late game though. I'd absolutely love it if - either through devs or mods - each

What spec is your machine?
A single nuke will wear down the sheild. A nerfed Bramble would absolutely kill the QoT - she's the least played DG as it is.
I've installed it on three Win7 machines, none needed neither Impulse nor Demigod to be run with any compatability modes.
Staff of Renewal pwns with a tower rook, and it's the only way to make the build viable. you can buy movement speed relatively early, you can't buy cooldown items until late game (stormbringer, and the money's better spent on ashkandor) ;)
Ah, I didn't realise this was a bug - went to play some panth yesterday, saw this sign, went to play customs instead.

so we just had a patch, and among other things it fixed: Minion-in-citadel exploit lvl3 priest bug. Great news, except for when I want to play Sedna :p
Your ATI drivers are rather old - the newest are 8.632 (9.7s), and you're on 8.14. Update your graphics drivers :)
Howdy :) I often play Demigod offline against AI, as I don't want to start an online game I may need to walk away from when I'm not sure I have time. When I first started playing, I'd select a map, then click on Auto Fill - 2 seconds to set up a match, all good :) Now that I'm playing against hard and nightmare AI's rather than normal, I can't use the Auto Fill option, as the AutoFill is only for normal difficulty. Surely it wouldn't be too difficult to set the AutoFil

They don't seem like mines at all at the moument, more like bombs. Flat bombs. Flat bombs that you can throw on people that are in you face. Bejewelled Goggles. Quite possibly the most useless item in any game, ever. Now, I'm up for a laugh - I played a few games against AI whilst taking this item as my favour, trying to conjour up a single build that would give this favour item some use.. but it's actually not possible. There can't be anyone out there that actually uses these, can there? Spec me a Goggle build :p
