Pretty sure LoL had an enormous budget compared to Demigod. To make a Demigod 2 sell they need to not repeat what they did with patching and multiplayer, the fact that it takes them up to/over 2-6 months to fix hugely gamebreaking bugs and imbalances is just atrocious. Also far too many people had trouble with the dodge peer to peer. Also Mike quite a lot of people don't just play games for super graphics, check out how many purchases <a href="htt

The default map is huge compared to DG, DG is very immediate, you know that you head straight to the lane or cap a flag. In HoN, you can run around the map doing nothing. You may think the game just drifts by, especially if you are carried by some good players, however, it is not, you are just playing badly. is this a good thing or a bad th

But i'm assuming that even if the company puts in less support after the beta is finished and th product is shipped, that it'll still be the (only?) main focus of the developer.
There's usually a new hero or some other pretty major changes
QoT is terrible, except maybe on Prison which is a bad map anway.

Track the frequency that items are purchased and adjust the cost up/down by a percentage each week until the purchase price is equal to the usefullness of the item. At first we would have exactly what we have now, but based on actual game play we would get automatic item balancing. Anytime any item was too OP, word would get out, people would buy it in droves and the price would increase u
Gladiator Gloves are one of the few non artifact minion damage items, they're actually awesome and very cost effective.
I would have to disagree. The way I see it, content is slow to come right now because of the higher priority issues that GPG/SD has to first iron out. It's obviously unwise to develop new content before the game is stabilized post release.
No, not only is the content slow to come out, but so are the bug fixes, the Sedna priest bug was a simple <span style="text-decoration: underl
You have to alt tab to check stats and make fair teams. Alt tabbing caused tons of random crashing for me and the people I played with. Balancing a game = Mostly no game, because host crashed out checking 3rd person on their team. Even if there were stats in the lobby this community would still cry about premades though, playing with people you know is a crime.
You're asking for a lot in your post, that's about 2 years in GPG time.
If you join a game that isn't labeled new player friendly / new players only, and then do not tell anyone on your team that you are new before the match starts, then cost them the match you can't really blame them for calling you a few names.
6 months and no reply and no theme [e digicons]:')[/e]
Forcing anyone interested in matchmaking to play only light or dark side? That is the only thing I can see that's bad about making Pantheon the only matchmaking.
The maps are awfully bland, all the work seems to of gone into giving the maps a pretty background, which add nothing to gameplay except graphical lag, all of the maps are flat roads with towers on, that is all there is, nothing more, no interactive scenery, no height changes, none of the terrain can move, none of the terrain can block line of sight, none of the terrain does ANYTHING. I do not see why it would be "expensive" to create them, all the maps are is roads with texture

But also keep in mind that HoN is not a new game on its own, but a cardboard copy of DotA with _nothing_ new to it with exception for the fluid 3D engine and the matchmaking UI.
Sorry but I highly doubt you've even played HoN after reading this. There's a lot of new heroes with more being released almost weekly (although a lo

Yes I'm a huge troll I've never contributed anything to the forums, not even when I was young and full of hope for the game, I've never even played the game, I have no idea what I'm talking about. So of course I'm not entitled to an opinion, like the opinion that GPG ran this game into the ground with their bad and slow support.
These games will kill Demigod about as much as GPG killed it, that is to say, completely.
Demigod not accessible? It seems completely aimed at the casual players...

I can't be the only person who thought it was going to be a Rikimaru clone after reading the first skill [e digicons]:P[/e] was expecting to see passive invisiblity.
Regulus needs a buff to make him better in games smaller than 4vs4.
Oh wow they removed the items instead of fixing them? ahahaahahahaha, it's gonna be like the heart of life nerf all over again.
If a map editor is never released TheScottishAlien had better get some kind of compensation, this man is a creative genius and he's using it all on this game with no confirmed map editor.
The 3 mins start counting down as soon as the loading screen appears.
Glad to know our forums are as stuck up and clueless as ever, never change Demigod forums!
