The last setup here actually had a chance of winning. Regulus needed to continually snipe the erebus's to push them out of the lane so they would need to heal, and thus not be in the lane farming more minions. Picking up angelic fury would have been a decent long term counter to erebus (Essentially it forces him to wait for the cooldown on horn to expire before he can effectively attack any buildings). Rook however, is the real threat to an erebus minion build. Not with towers, b

Regulus mines are about on par with rook hammer slam (1450 vs 1700). Striking a moving target is difficult and the motion can be stunned. The slow portion is certainly annoying, but I don't really see it as game breaking (especially with the newly implemented slow cap). If regulus was repeatedly dominating games with mines I might be concerned, but both playing as him, and playing against him, I can confidently say this isn't the case. They are a precision weapon with a hefty mana cost, and I

I don't think enough credit is being given to how powerful this combination is, and it is primarily because of the mana returned (total of 2700) and not the health regained. Since you will rarely ever need more mana than your opponent has health, Oak using sheild+heart of life is able to completely ignore his mana pool and focus instead of health items, since he can regenerate (and cast) all his mana while doing this trick. In effect oak is capable of obtaining a bonus +600 or so heal

Sam'el's Cloak doesn't work. At least it doesn't work according to the information on the tooltip. It only seems to prevent a single slow effect from causing a greater than 25% slow. Multiple slow effects still take their toll and can reduce movement speed to a crawl. (Reduced to 42% speed with three 25%+ slow effects). Slowing effects (regulus in particular) are extremely broken right now and not using this build on prison is downright stupid. Kudos to the poster. I do however recommend

The idea behind this build is to provide support to your allies. This build is not meant to function well as a demigod killer, but as a means to deal mass damage against multiple foes and control lanes. Level 1: Rain of Ice I Level 2: Permafrost I Level 3: Circle of Fire I Level 4: Rain of Ice II Level 5: Fire Aura I Level 6: Frost Nova I Level 7: Rain of Ice III Level 8: Circle of Fire II Level 9: Circle of Fire III<

Actually Rapier is right. This build works believe it or not. Most games don't reach level 20, so I really have no idea what skills might be taken during lategame, but to focus on pounce and HP+priests instead of Pounce+Heal and MP mid-early game is a viable choice. I would argue that on prison (where having a healer is almost a necessity) this might not function as well, but on most other maps where you will often have to battle solo for a lane nothing is more dangerous than an HP

If a skill is used that requires a target and the desync window pops up before selecting that target, the cursor will be stuck attempting to select that target and will not allow you to select the 'ok' button

Yeah you're right. I just tested mines, and it doesn't work. They don't display damage numbers when they explode and so don't return any mp. Very odd. Doesn't work with towers either. It does work with Structural transfer and all other abilities that display damage either over time or upon striking the target.
Next, you waste a tonne of gold on equipment that could better go to citadel support. Namely, if you end up saving for artifacts, chances are you could have been saving for giants.
This is the last time I'm going to explain this before I just start labeling people retarded. The reason these items are listed IN A SEPARATE CATEGORY is so that 'just in case' the game goes past giants, those are the items you should prioritize. I've had people save up thousands of gold

Erebus is a general type demigod that functions extremely well without minions in both healing power, mobility, and damage. The build I'm presenting here attempts to focus on those qualities. Level 1: Bite I Level 2: Mist I Level 3: Mass Charm I Level 4: Bite II Level 5: Poisoned Blood I Level 6: Bats I Level 7: Bite III Level 8: Mist II Level 9: (Save) Level 10: Bats II, Bite IV Level 11: Mist III<br /

There is an issue right now with the power level of the blade of the serpent favor item returning the ammount of mana that it does, due to the fact the ammount of dps assassin characters can output allows this item to provide a full (or close to full) return to the mp bar of any assassin character, at any level, every 45 seconds as long as they are in combat. 75% seems a bit much without some sort of max mp limitation. The biggest issue by far with t

Respectably, I disagree with your assumption that Unclean beast has only one way to play. Mind you that I agree the first 2 levels of spit are powerful, but ignoring your hp and armor mid game will get you (and anyone else taking this advice) killed extremely fast, especially when stuns enter the game. Posting that ooze is a bad choice is additionally ludicrous as mathematically it is one of the most sound skill investments in the game. Let me back that up though: Let's say yo

Unless we are playing different games, I'm pretty sure that artifacts exist. Which is to say that you =might= be purchasing them and leaving them out fails to provide a full picture to people trying to learn the game. (Just like not telling people to purchase the girdle of giants with an oak Divine Justice build if it reaches that point). However, to those that are not drunk and/or high, it should have been clear that placing those items in an 'other' category, removing th

Originally I was planning on calling this the "Tele-Raper" since that's sort of the idea with this .. but I suspect that would be censored out. Tele-Stomper? Who knows.. the name is largely irrelevant. Hopefully the run down of this build will give you some new tactics for your demigod games and make your opponents scream in frustration. Altering the attribute flags in domination would certainly provide additional tactical considerations, but may or may not result in changing when the game has already been decided, since the other team that takes the flags would simply place themselves at a disadvantage again, and does not prevent the other team from earning domination score with the flags in their base. A much simpler and more effective change would be to grant the increases in domination score only when one team has mo

The AI retreating when it reaches a certain health value is not the issue (it already does this) unless we are referring to it's failure to extend itself to obtain the kill (it will retreat even if it could win simply because it's health is low). The issue is the AI's ability to assess it's possibility of success in any given combat or in performing long duration actions (teleport scrolls). Reprograming the AI with knowledge of it's enemy's skills and their total potential d

Combat Tigress Sedna is one of my favourite Demigods both from a flavour perspective and due to her amazing ability to survive even when the odds are stacked against her. The build I typically use does not utilize any minions other than the store bought ones, and often only priests or low level archers. So if you're getting pressed/attacked in a 1v1 situation they can steal the crystal away from you.
Not keeping the flag and gaining the benefit of the crystal dur

After some testing, and some seriously mean strategic use of capture locks and teleports, I've come to the conclusion that health crystals in the middle of the map are not conducive to fair play. There are two maps that have these: Manadala and Exile. I'll look at each seperately as the severity of the issue is drastically different on each map. However, the primary issue with 'unfair play' using these crystals is that they favour heavy hitters (Rook, Unclean Beast, Torch Bearer) and unf

There is a benefit for staying in the game past the point where you know loss is imminent: Favor points. Depending on how badly you lost, this might be as low as 15 (particpant award), but it is entirely possibly that you may pick up other awards as well, such as kills, deaths, citadel upgrades, damage, and so on. Often this means even a lost match can net you 40 favour or so. It isn't much mind you, and given the choice, I would certainly prefer a 'forfeit' button to obtaining a small amount

Whether or not a demigod should focus on their minions is somewhat dependant on the map. A map like 'brothers' where each general nets xp from two lanes (usually double than normal) makes for a good choice to specialize in minions as it is unlikely each character will gain gold in time to purchase more than a single 2k item making them quite formidable even against demigods. Maps like cataract, with towers very close together are often bad for minions as they will repeatedly charge into

Decloaking the mines let's the other player know they are there, and thus prepare for the damage, avoid them, or wait for the next wave of creeps to mow them down. Invisible mines are usefull for damaging unsuspecting opponents, while visible mines are good for creating a tactical environment. Allowing them to be summarily destroyed takes away from that tactical advantage. Mines are already being used like hand grenades.. let's not encourage this further by making any other use of t

Considering the replies I'm getting here apparently I failed to communicate either the proposed changes or the reasoning behind them (this wasn't a nerf/buff thread). Many games don't make it to level 15, so I've never noticed biting chill as tacking on additional damage, but that does make it's damage significantly better. Considering that the ice form is described as a debuffer I'd prefer a lower damage that maintained debuffs to go along with that, but then Sedna is also listed as being sq
