What's the magic number for a community?? 350 players means 349 players for me to test my skills against, that's going to take a fair while to do.
Cutfang
Pantheon matched me and a rook vs 3 dark side players and we still won. If I may make a massive generalisation I'd say that'd explain why Dark side lost so impressively :P
Jack Thompson needs to be taken very seriously when updating your games.
Havn't tested it properly but I'm fairly sure that Torchbearer's 50% mana regen works with the HoL to give you +450 mana per second, so that might be what you're seeing. I use the HoL a lot but I don't like it myself. It isn't fun to have an enemy demigod run away from you after you've given him a pounding, only to have him come back 10 seconds later with full life, rendering your last fight useless.
I found myself against (I think) a premade earlier today, and it was the best match I've fought yet. Me and my teammates were constantly on our toes looking out for the next lane to be attacked. Their liberal use of capture locks forced us to buy our own just to be on the defensive, but we still managed to push them to their citadel and vice versa. In the end we lost, but I would play them again in a heartbeat. A lost game is an opportunity to learn from your mistakes.
Maybe if you weren't so fixated on winning nomatter the cost you'd take a kinder approach to people who've played less than you have. I've won a pantheon game by taking advantage of my "newb" teammate by asking him to bait the enemy demigods into chasing him, while I ran to their portals and capture locked them with catapults.
I tried to run WoW and Demigod at the same time and got a BSOD. Luckily I think I know how to prevent that happening in the future.
And war rank, if one team can get giants 5-10minutes before the other that might be an advantage.
I was playing a Hybrid TB (Blizzard, fireball, frost nova) and my teammate kept yelling at me every 10 seconds "Stick to fire!! Dont go ice", even when fireball was on cooldown and after I had pointed that out.
If you spend any amount of time coding you'll realise that more often than not your big problems are caused by the tiniest of things (Oh, i missed a semi colon)
I'm glad my abysmal 35k upload is suitable for Demigod. Even so, that is pretty standard for most of UK's ISPs unfortunately. Always about 1/10th or 1/20th of your download :( edit: Any chance of Demigod having some sort of built in upload test? Then players might know if their connection is suitable before they jump into a 5v5. Or won't it be necessary after the new update? Or would it show up in the ping. I don't know..
I'm colour blind, and Red and Green are fairly easy to tell apart. I have trouble with similar colours, like white on grey or different shades of red. Sometimes its hard to read the chat when it appears over the white floor on levels like Catalact. But there are other kinds of colour blindness too.
Really? Is it too much to ask the host, or attempt to join their team to see what's going on. Or if I'm playing with my friend and I join a 4v4, i'll have to leave because its random teams and I want to play with my friend. I can't see the developers spending time on this feature when team pantheons / skirmish will sort most of it out anyway.
I play TB based solely on his voice acting
Would Oak's penitence increase the damage the towers do? I'd like to see them working together :)
Oak is powerful in 1v1? I just played as Sedna, with +600 armour and mana regen helmets, and easily took him on 1v1 last game. With enough armour or mana he just can 't simply kill her (unless he had amazing timing for interrupting heals) pounce outdamages penitence anyway.
Well I redownloaded it while watching Layer Cake, and the problem seems to have fixed itself. It may have been running it as admin, or uninstalling AVG or resetting the data. Thanks for all the help :)
Well I tried resetting the data, and Impulse still doesn't recognise Demigod as being installed and thus starts to download it all over again. The Verify Application option isn't available as it is downloading. Once it downloaded again however I got an error message about administrator priveleges, so that may be the problem. But as far as I can tell I am running it as an administrator (I tried the run as). This might be some anti-virus or spyware problem on my part so I will try installing it
I have just tried to download and install Demigod on my 2nd computer, and something unusual has happened. It downloads, installs and then starts to redownload the whole game all over again. So while I can actually run the game from Program Files I cant launch it or update it on Impulse. edit: I don't have my updated version of Demigod nearby so I can copy the updated game over :( super edit: Oo I found this errorlog buried in a bunch of fold
I will if I can connect to you :P While I'm here i'll repeat what I read in the manual yesterday, apparently you gain exp for every friendly unit that comes out of an enemy portal you've captured.
I love it when they add extra content for free :D
At a rough guess it seems to me that the most popular maps are the ones with the shortest travel from Citadel to front line. I guess I'm not alone in disliking The Brothers for that reason.
I usually buy the cheap mana helm or hp chest at the start, so I can throw penitence on the enemy a lot. Sometimes a penitence followed by a blind charge can scare an enemy DG into retreating. But if they are decent I wouldn't even bother going toe to toe for the early levels, since they are likely too weak to persue you beyond towers.
Hmm I hate people who stick to me at the beginning, leaving a lane empty with creeps dying and no one to harvest their precious souls... Anyone who is a half decent player will stay far back when two demigods appear in their lane, or teleport to another one.
Searched for any similar threads to no avail (is there an advanced search?). Anyway, I just had a nice Pantheon game where we controlled every single flag on the map with 2000 points left to go. At that point we had to just wait and whistle while the points slowly counted upward. Perhaps the point gain could be increased when all flags are being held? I imagine it was annoying for the other team who had obviously lost but still had to wait around, and we obviously couldn't kill the ci
