Yes its a combo DSL modem/router, and probably not a very good one. But it handles P2P traffic just fine (torrents) and all other games I play. And I would assume this router is not much worse than other ISPs "standard" routers. So I guess that a large part of Norwegian users have serious problems playing demigod since this ISP is Norway´s second largest...

I had one week that I could play Demigod, and that was the betas a few weeks ago. After that the following happens: I start demigod, go into multiplayer, join a custom game and then demigod actually KILLS my ISP router. I need to reboot it to get it working again. When I log in to the router when this has happened all DSL status is listed as FAILED. This have never happened before with any game or application. So now I have given up Demigod for a few weeks, I will be m
I couldn't connect to anyone until last patch, since then I have had the luxury playing this awesome game. Its so frustrating we can't all indulge in this together....
For the first time EVER I have now been able to join a lobby, and not having 0 ms ping against other players. I could even play as well! So for me this has been best ever Demigod patch! ;-) To bad not everyone feels the same....
I still can't play a single MP game! Now I can join the lobbies, but except for the person hosting the game I get 0ms ping. I have verified ports with PFPortChecker on the PC running Demigod and all is fine.
Im in Norway so timezone is GMT +1 but Ill be happy helping out anyhow. Actually I can now see the traffic from 6112 port now, seems I didnt had the game updated enough. With the 108(?) build the following happens: 1. I push fight button. Nothing seems to happen for about 50 seconds. 2. Suddenly I can see this from the router: IP 10.0.0.3.6112 > 209.124.63.249.6006: UDP, length 2 IP 209.124.63.249.6006 > 10.0.0.3.6112: UDP, length 33 IP 10.0.0.3
Does not work for me. My setup is DSL router Linux router/fw Demigod PC A "double NAT" in Stardock terms. Linux router is in DMZ of DSL router, so that DSL router forwards all trafic to Linux router/fw. Linux router/fw forwards traffic udp and tcp 6000-6200 to Demigod PC. Demigod PC has firewall turned off. What I dont get is that I am only told to forward port 6100-6200, but when I use tcpdump on linux I only see port 600x UD
It is almost impossible to find legit games on Game Ranger. It really pains to download a warez verision of a game I have bought if I want some action. Demigod is the most amazing game in many years for me (since Warcraft III) but it´s so frustrating when the online part dont work at all. Do anyone know whats the status of the proxy servers? (yes I have read the journals. Every day.)
Anyone have info about what is being done to overcome all this NAT/DSL problems here in Europe? Im really looking forward to playing online, but havent been able to connect once yet. Its pretty frustrating!
32bit Vista here.
I have quite similar setup (but I have "double" NAT) and have the same symptoms. One time I got the NAT error message. Also live in Norway, have static IP and Nextgentel ISP. When waiting for a game I can see lots of UDP traffic in wireshark, only source and destination port 6000 and 6200 though... 6073, 6100-6200 forwarded to Vista buisness machine. I have never been able to join game. The gameplay seems fantastic in single player so really want
