I dont think your friend is the only one, i havent connected to a single multiplayer game yet... either i get kiced out of pantheon mode or am connecting forever on custom mode... rubbish. To tell the truth i've stopped trying gonna try again next week since i loved dota so much and from some single player games i've gone through this seems like a great game. Then i'll probably be out of (game)energy :) to try it again.
erm i had a connection problem and i deleted the post when i solved it, just a little something with my modem, i still cant connect to the game though. Sorry if it was misleading.

Well good luck doing that :) If i dont get a game in 10 minutes trying i just give up and go do something else. I havent had 1 single MP game as it's supposed to be. So pirated version vorks better for me, how it'll be in the future i dont know... i hope it gets better, till then i'll do what i can to enjoy the game i bought.
Up untill now i still havent had a successfull connect... either i get a message: failed attempt or the connecting indefinitly issue. The only way for me to play a MP is if i use the torrented version of Demigod and play via hamachi... wich is really sad. So can i expect this issue to be resolved? How many people are actually playing without problems? Is there anyone using the impulse version of the game to play via hamachi? If you do can you please post your ham networ
The problem with hamachi games is that you cant connecto to most of the games, since they are a different version than the impulse one.
Heh, there is a simple solution, download a torrented game, install hamachi and play. The only problem is you cant play with the impulse version of the game, since most hamachi games are pirated and you wont be able to connect to pirated games because impulse game has a diff version.
I had the same problem, i have a geforce 9800gt, and a creative x-fi xtreme audio, and when i installed the newest sound card drivers the problem stopped. hope this helps.
i'd wait awhile if i were you, i bought the game and didnt get the chance to join 1 MP game yet... it's BS, ... i've just downloaded the pirate version and am playing it on hamachi servers... i cant belive pirates are having more fun than prople who actually bought the damn game. :) Game itself is quite fun but things like this take away the joy of buying it.

Ok there is one thing preventing me from buying the game, performance. On my AMD600+(2x3.0Ghz), geforce 9800gt(1gb ram), 4GB sys ram, cfi xtream audio; it's laggy as hell, sound starts to hiccup and at that time the game laggs out horribly. If i am to buy this game i expect it to work... according to recomended sys req it very well should. I'll test it with different drivers and see if that helps, but if it doesent i'll be glad i pirated it and saw that the game wasent for me. There is
