Lets just view things optimistcally. I guess Stardock is working pretty hard as they are taking a bold step in implementing P2P instead of the traditional server-based hosting to improve our gameplay quality as P2P has almost no delay as compared to server-based hosting that has quite a couple of delay which can really hinder a RTS game. Even though I applaude them for taking such a bold step, if their 'bold step' does not work, I'd rather they not try it and just return to traditiona

Perhaps a real server-client structure (tested and from the start up) would have been better... But right now, I am a bit frustrated, because it seems that I only find 5-6 games in custom games mode and when I try to connect, nothing happens except I see myself and waiting to connect to other players. Sometimes I see

I am not saying this with an angry tone just a disappointed one because at this point I honestly feel this is a waste of money. Agreed. There isn

I rather they implement a server just like Blizzard does with Battle.net (by no means a comparison to DotA/WC3 etc, just an example to a similar RTS), This would really reduce the problems encountered because of
Looks like everyone here is having problems and no one is able to help each other. Lets just sit back and jam up a few single player or LAN in the meantime. I'mma get back to Steam and L4D/TF2 a little while this sorts out. We'll see what Stardock is capable of (: (no sacarsm intended)
Static internal IP is what you need ie. 192.168.1.65, this makes your port forwarding on the router always stay linked with your computer. Often this is found by going to network devices in you router and looking for an option like 'Always use same IP' ect.
If that is what you mean, if I want to portforward, I have to re-forward everytime I restart the router? Thats not an issue to be able to play Demigod online. However,

I'm having problems connecting to the multiplayer in Demigod, thus I went to google up on portforwarding and found a few information I could try. I went to www.portfoward.com and well, I found my router in the website. Was overjoyed, so I followed the guide to forward the ports for Demigod. However, after forwarding the ports in numerous guides, the PortForward checker still claims my 6100 UDP is not open/unreachable. I'm completely at a lost. I disabled all my software firewalls to n

Well, I am a player from Singapore and I went straight to the retail stores the moment they had Demigod in stores. I was sooo enthusiastic and excited to receive Demigod only to find out I can't play online, AT ALL. I feel COMPLETELY cheated. Well firstly, whenever I try to connect to a custom multiplayer game, I never get past the connection. I just seem to endlessly try to connect to other players and it never works as seen in the connection info box. I tend to be able to connect to
Well for me, I am completely unable to connect to anyone. Under the connection info box, it says that I keep attempting to connect to someone but it never ever happens. I have no clue how to forward my ports as I connect directly to a modem. I suck bad at these internet stuff so any help would be appreciated. I can't seem to find my IP correctly so I can't access my page on the browser to forward the ports. I'm saying this all via custom games in multiplayer. The game is AWESOME in si

I've heard that the official release of Demigod in SG will be on the 24th May so hopefully there'll be an influx of players at that point in time. I too am waiting for that date to arrive so I can make my purchase and join u guys. Till then do wait for all the noobs and don't get too good H
Great thread. I'll be waiting for the official launch as I don't really have spare time to drop down SLS. I'm sure Demigod should be a good hit in Singapore because Singapore has a ton of die-hard DotA fans. If they are willing to spend $60 odd for DotA (I say, 80% of WC3 buyers in SG buy it for DotA), then Demigod shouldn't be any issue for them. DotA is a mod, but Demigod is an official game mode, so I suppose the support and gameplay in Demigod should be much better
Nah, the retail copies in Singapore aren't as expensive. The exchange rates for USD to SGD are around 1SGD to about 0.66-0.75USD. Yet, Steam games priced at 49.99 USD are only sold here in retail stores at 59.99SGD. And, I've seen reliable legit stores selling CoH Gold Edition at SGD19.99 when it is sold at 20+USD on Steam. Hope Impulse is the same with the prices XD
Cant buy in Singapore? Strange... I'm in Tokyo and I got it as well as all other titles via Impulse with no issues.
Not that. I do face some difficulties in buying stuff onlines, mostly due to my parents.
If you really don't wish to buy from them for whatever reasons, just wait till 15th May for it's launch in Singapore or purchase online from Impulse.
Apparently what he said. IMO, I haven't go the time to make trip down to SLS. Been busy. Price isn't really the matter here as I doubt the retail Demigod from Atari wouldn't be much cheaper, but yeah. I guess I'll wait.

Apparently on the Atari site, its been claimed that Atari acquird the distribution rights to dsitribute Demigod in Europe/Asia. Link: http://www.atari.com.sg/news/details.do?newsId=1875 I live in Singapore and due to various reasons, getting the game digitally is impossible. I've been waiting for Demigod eagerly and yet theres no news on it from Atari. If any devs or admins are out there, may I ask when Demigod might be released to Europe/Asi
@chanbrothers Sure. I'm REALLY eager to get a copy of Demigod. Waiting till May seems like eternity... Anyway sorry for bumping an old topic but I wanted to make sure more Singaporeans could take a look at this. (I know I seem selfish, but its all because of the love for Demigod!.. Meh xD) Thanks!
Thats possible with Paypal? Assuming my parents would allow, I could try that. But I do prefer hardcopies because I never liked the idea of having the game itself digitally, all in the computer with nothing as reference in real life. Plus, I love hardcopy boxes. They're nice and shiny... Anyway, thanks. I would consider Paypal if its a viable and doable option if the hardcopy is impossible. In the mean time, any other Singaporeans that could be of help? Thanks in advance anywa
I am a long time DotA gamer and I've found Demigod to be VERY interesting and attractive. I would love to purchase Demigod, but I live in Singapore and I did a check with one local store a few days ago and it claims not to know what Demigod even is. I've asked on other game forums and some Singaporeans claimed to have seen Demigod's poster outside certain stores, however, I'm not particularly sure on this one. Is there any Singaporeans out there who have come across a Demigod hardcopy
