But, if you remove the heart of life, think of how much longer that would make the game. All the additional stops you would be making back at the crystal. The pacing of the game would change alot. It you put this in perspective on large maps like two brothers it could make a battle so different then it is now.
I personally don't think that's a bad thing. As it is now, I rarely even get to level 15 (win or lose). Most games seem a rush to Giants and then it's
UB's high innate speed + inner beast (which he skipped) + boots is enough to catch up to anybody not specifically built for speed (wand of speed, swift anklet, and boots of speed; just swift anklet and boots isn't enough.) Without Inner Beast, you can still chase down some people, but you are somewhat limited.
Yeah, but he doesn't include any of those. His build didn't include IB, any speed boots or Diseased Cl

Possibly using Poisoned Dagger favor item plus main & mines? Doesn't explain 75%. Poisoned Dagger (25%) + Main 2 (7%) + MoTB (20%) + Mines (??*) = 52% *Tooltip says Mines slow @ level 10. Realistically though, Dagger + Main would be 32% and that hurts...
I really truly think it IS viable, just not early. Late game, we all know how DPS from normal attacks starts dominating, and this ability works very well with that. Seriously, try the build I posted there, I think you'll be pleased.
I agree BW is more suited late game but, I'm assuming you've used this build, how do you handle the mana issues and no IB? You mention Essence of Magic...can you r
The basic thing is, you have a bigger HP pool than the other person, and are doing 140+X DPS (X being AA) to the person, while speed debuffing them and basically making it impossible for them to run, while they are doing .6 * Y+Z DPS (Y being AA, Z being skills) with a smaller HP pool. Even better, since you start out going all HP with UB you could probably swap the Hauberk of life for a Nimroth's chestplate and buy a scalemail to

Biggest issue, which has been mentioned is the cast time and animation. It always seemed wierd to me Spit is instant but BW has cast. As another poster mentioned, you can easily spot the animation and just move away. With no speed boots or anklet (or ranged spit) you just wasted half, if not all, of your 7 seconds chasing. Not to mention once people know you have it, they can just sit on Pounce or Penitence waiting for the instant interrupt. Another thing to co
Quoting castle9mm, reply 8 I've played a much similar build to the health+ooze build. It's fairly strong and it takes people buy surprise. With an extremely large health pool and the -40% attack speed debuff, you can outlast a lot of fights and at least get them to start running first.
Foul grasp doesn't do lifesteal from items, it's part of the skill itself. It goes to 664 damage max rank, although I only get one rank anyways for the interupt/stun. And once oak shields nothing can damage him, however foul grasp will still stun him (Take that you shield/heart of life oak wannabies! ) and bite along with other abilities will still slow him, but he won't take damage.
In fact, an oak with minions is a far more formidable meelee opponent starting mid game, than the UB.so unless the UB has the kill (and as such the xp and gold) advantage by then, its going to look grim for him.
For truth. A lot of people are on the "Spit is OP" bandwagon but Oak is just ridiculus. I'm quite possibly a bad player but both Assassin Oak and Spirit Oak completely dominate once they get their feet

I'm not trying to be a naysayer but I downloaded this and I don't see much difference from the calculations at demigoddb.com. You even said you're pulling in the same data so I'm trying to understand what you're trying to accomplish. Do people not know about the 'Calculator' tab at demigoddb.com? The template idea is a cool one but I see trouble with keeping your file up to date with all the theory builds that pop up on the forums. Currently I just pull up th

Just to restate, I don't think lifesteal works on UB abilites like Ooze & spit (correct me if wrong). It does work on Foul Grasp and melee abilities for sure. Example, even if UB was doing 500 DPS with just melee alone, that's only 160 HPS from life steal with Ashkandor, Mageslayer, Narmoths & Bloodstone (35%). If he's got that type of gear, you lost 10 levels ago. Not counting artifacts, you can get 12% with Narmoths and Bloodstone sacrificing two slots.&n
