[quote who="Lieu-" reply="23" id="2260935"] Quoting lukkas_ROCKUS, reply 20 Respectuflly disagree. When I'm fighting a DG, I'm not fighting someone who has 32% more HP than me. I've fighting someone who has 15% more. Or 15% less. That's what counts. How much our relative HP positions shifted from 30 seconds ago doesn't matter in the moment. What's past is past. What matters is the situation in the moment. <b
LORD-ORION
The Rook has the least amont of natural armor in the game... yes, less natural armor than even Sedna. :) I think this is what new people don't understand. Can you blame them? It doesn't really make a lot of "reality" sense, having princess skin stronger than giant castle skin. Suffice to say he takes a full pounding from standard damage. I think my favorite is when a rook hammer slam gets silenced in mid swing. Bwhahahaha.
TB can put alot of dammage in play quickly and can be just as fast as Reg. It's not so simple against a smart TB. If you go for the kill against TB he can punish you and escape, keep your distance and play a "do not die" strategy with Reg and TB farms better than you can. I find the best strategy as Reg against a good TB is to concentrate on dammage output skills and beef up as much life, and later armor, as you can. Go for staying power so TB can't stay around where&nb
Sounds like the actual problem is that your team mates are dying constantly, not health stacking (that would be a problem killing enemy DGs, not a problem getting killed by them) :)
This is what happens when you believe that life and regen are always better than life and armor late game. You get waterboarded by Oak's minions, especially if you get slowed. Another thing to consider vs mass mosquitoes is dodge... Sure 20% may seem like a pretty pointless risk when you are talking about high damage one shots from DG powers. But when you have dodge vs a dozen+ minion and you throw in some high armor, you get much more staying power.
You know when you win a tournament? Yeah, please turn that into a DreamScene.... uhh... yeak, QoT should be done 1st. Thanks. I'm sure it will be a good promotion tool. :D
There is one negative I can think of in the early game. Usually there is a heavier forest of towers behind the upfront unsupported one. This allows weaker DGs to farm in safety early on, as the creeps will now advance to an area you can't push the enemy out of.
It needs to be a relic and worth around 6000.
My 2 styles Creep killer / support build Increment these evenly and max them. Bramble Shield Ground Spike Spike Wave Compost Uproot Goddess of Thorns Job: run into creep wave while shielded, ground spike and spike wave. Retreat. Shield allies when they are in battle and stay back. Cast uproot on towers that your allies are attacking. Life and speed keep you alive, don't overdue it on the spike usage, save it for creeps. Exc
It's more complicated then you make it out. Characters have different base armor, life and health per second, and they change as they level up. Some items make more of a diffrence early on and less later on. eg: Take banded and hauberk 1st, swap them out later on for Nimoth and Groffling later on. Minions and creeps take their toll during batle as well and for sure you will be hit by standard attacks from DGs, not just "magic".
You miss the point, allow me to explain more since what I said wasn't self-explanatory for your total build when you are asking what more you can do for item manpulation. There are still the + regen health items in other categories you will buy (because there are no other +armor items). You will still buy the normal + life items at the start of the match because as I demonstrated they don't help much early on. As you get better + life items, you swap out
Can you lock an enemy flag for them? ;) eg: Hey nooblet! That portal is feeding me XP, pleae don't cap it and send the XP in the other direction.
Why get better health as UB? UB has massive natural armor as he goes up in level. I personally feel Armor + Life is more important than Life + Regen for UB. eg: Consider Scale Mail vs Banded Armor At level 1 Banded is the better choice. At level 5: Scale Mail gives UB 5 more effective hit points. (not a whole lot, but you see the trend right?) At level 20: Scale Mail gives UB 400 more effective HPs over Banded Mail. Summary: Items with + Armor a
Play Oak and make a mininion builds. Since the AI is dumb you can kill scores of AIs simultaneously. Then you win every match and come in 1st place every match.
Everyone who posted in this thread is banned for not giving me karma.
+1 Karma for making me imagine hammer slamming that hamster.
You need to make sure you click on the character in the selection screen. eg: You might have been playing Oak in offline mode. Then you exit that game and go online. Then you see that UB is selected by default and you don't do anything because that is what you want. You start as Oak because secretly behind the scenes Oak is slected and the UI is lying to you unless you make it dirty (update character selection). ;)
Thanks for all the feedback everyone, it has allowed me to clarify a few things on how I play this build and I have updated the main section. I know some of you aren't happy with this build because it doesn't have DG crushing capabilities, or use penitence ;). I would submit to you, however, that your DG killing build's success also depends a large part on your opponent. Is he going to let you kill him? Right now, people are playing like a bunch of cowboys. They bring in their

I would pu
Hrmm... you'll need to try it if you don't get it 1st just by looking at it, nothing here could be presented better then if you didn't try and see 1st hand. The opening point being, minotaurs + siege do more damage, healing is not required and you get a TP scroll. I tried it with penitence, dammage of enemy DGs is not nearly as fast even with a 600 point crunch. Like I said, get a gadget in case you have a fast fleeing DG, but the health drain of all y
I didn't see anything like this in the guide compilation, which is kind of surprising. Overview: -Self sustaining minion build, with low early mana requirements and exceptional healing to keep you in play when others must return to base. -The point of this build is to not slay other DGs with impunity, but rather to control creep battles, support your team and not die. -At level 5 you can quickly crush towers safely thanks to surge of faith. Infact it is beneficial
I would never quit a game, if just to allow my opponents the EARNED satisfaction of steam rolling me during the final breakthrough at the end of the game. I think a better solution would be to give incentive not to quit, I mean really, what is the difference between surrender and quit other then how the player leaving is handled? Instead how about a bonus category perhaps called "Determined" which gives a 10 point favor bonus to the los
That is how that variant of Rook is meant to be played. :) If it didn't work, nobody would use those skills. Adjust tactics accordingly and give him a reason to leave. (double team his side in various ways). With points put in towers and his shown desire to camp, he is not nearly as Dangerous up to the point he is planting around a flag. He must have played extra well to get to that point. :)
It should work like in the board game risk... escalating rewards. eg: 1st demi-god kill is 300, next is 400 etc... This also makes dying 1st desirable if you know your enemy cannot escape.
