Try just switching forms. With pure fire TB one helm is fine if you switch forms enough for the bonus. Blade of the serpent requires rain of ice for maximum effectiveness. If you played fire tb properly you would have beaten hedgie and thunder. Sedna + Tb is not overpowered.
Did you get blade of the serpent with a pure fire TB in any of those games?
