It doesn't tell me that at all. What it tells me is that they listened to the community, looked at the evidence, and then implemented a change. GPG has been very responsive to addressing balance. Erebus needed a nerf. Priests should not be a liability. HoL was way out of whack. I'd far rather have them prioritize balance. And besides, if your statement were true, they'd be doing everything you asked for right now. What your post tells me is that you played the game all
So if it only takes 5 minutes to pop into the code and adjust the priest/angels they shouldnt do it because they have other issues that will take several weeks to address? I cannot believe that it took them very long to change two values in the database to lower priest exp and gold. By your reasoning, they would never get to this issue because it would never be a priority. They did address the successive ability fail in an earlier patch so they aren't ignoring the priority issues.<b
there are plenty of people who have played just as many if not more games who agree priests were broken. go ahead and read one of the 1000 threads. please don't give us that top ladder stuff - ranks were broken, so i dont care what level you say you were. anyone with common sense can realize there is a problem when you buy an upgrade and the opposition rejoices
LOL. I know the stats were broken - I even mentioned that in my
I think it's not the fact that people expected everything to be fixed, it's the fact that a certain number of key issues weren't addressed. Hopefully the majority of players can agree that the Heart of Life nerf (over-exagerrated) and the priests/angels nerf were some of the more minor things that needed initial attention. Pathing, Fire TB auto-attack while moving, and being bugged after a grasp from UB sometimes are just some examples of what would be considered a better fix.&nbs
Balancing is key for a multiplayer game. However, the "fixes" in 1.10 did seem to emit an aura of "tending to the whiners." I have played the game enough to exclaim that the priests and angels nerf wasn't a priority issue. The overly nerfed Heart of Life is just laughable. Just take it out of the game. If anything, it should have been nerfed to only double it's original price. In Stardock's defense, the pantheon matching does seem to be a bit smooth
I don't post much, but I've seen more than enough complaints hehe. But like I said, upgrading to priests has never been a negative game-changer for me. So, I don't see a reason to prioritize a fix for this "issue". Just my opinion.
If you couldn't tell from my post, I didn't mention the xp/gold "issue" because I don't see a huge "issue" with it. It's never been a game-changer for me (negatively). If you get priests, I encourage players to do something with them, not just upgrade them and hope for the best. Again, gotta have the cons with the pros of anything. The cons are obvious and overstated. The pros, not so much. I don't have any complaint regarding the xp/gold associated with th
From my experience, I've found that upgrading priests mid game is extremely helpful. Yes, they give more gold and xp to the opposing team, but they significantly help push the lanes (in Cataract). While the lanes are being pushed, I have the opportunity to flank greedy opponents trying to farm the creeps. More times than not, I get the kill (depending on which DG I am). In addition, I've found that pushing with the upgraded priest waves substantially helps. Moreo
