in the score menu that pops up in game when you hit tab, check pings and sim speed. someone you are playing with, or possibly yourself, may not have a setup that is capable of running the game on the settings they are using or possibly at all. a high sim speed is good, but the game will slow down on everyone's machine to match the sim speed of the player with the worst :( so if johnny has a -1 sim speed, that's the speed you're playing at as well.

I can't tell you how utterly perplexing it is now with the stats. I've been playing the game since it came out, but I only really get a couple weeks out of every couple months to play. Idk, I already did some research on the cheating thing and was pleased to find out that in using the processes to do things like, add money or hp or heal or deal damage, there is no way for a trainer to target just one demigod. so if they were cheating you would get the same bonuses as them. so if they added 20k gold, every god in the gme would have 20k more gold.
