Backdooring gets the thumbs up in my book. Honestly I think a lot of the reason it was frowned upon/'against the rules'/ or whatever in Dota was pretty simple--- a handful of heros are MUCH better at it than all of the others. You can't have doubles of the heros, and if it wasnt a match where you picked your heros from the full list but instead from a small pool, then it was very easy for one team to get a pretty big advantage via backdooring.

Wow, i'm really surprised to see as many people against the list as there is. I only read about half the replies but wanted to toss my $0.02 into the hat. I play Dota. I use banlist. I don't deal with douchbags that ruin my (limited) amount of play time. I am not someone authorized to make global bans. I have no desire to be. I do have a personal banlist that runs about 250 accounts long. I imagine that 3/10 games I host, my banlist alerts me to
you guys bother reading? Lots of posts about these topics already. Stardock is aware of the issues and theyre working on fixing all the stuff thats currently wrong with the game. Take a chill pill and just wait it out.
Woohoo! Thanks for the hard work and continued dedication to making your product and services top notch. It's often a hard climb to the top and your forum has plenty of people trying to drag you down- keep at it and I know you will reach the pinnacle and your customers will come around. Question: I really wanna use the /skipintro on my command line but I launch the game directly from impulse. Is there a way to edit the target of that launcher or do i need to creat
I have to agree, i think the artifact shop should contain some of the other consumables. I'd be hesitant to put teleport scrolls on there (at least in unlimited quanitty; perhaps limit it to 1 ever 3 minutes?). Itd be really nice to be able to grab a quick 750hp potion or mana potion there early game, and it having a flag lock every 10 minutes or so might be useful also. I know most people on these forums hate to think about Dota, but I think the artifact sh
LoL @ Zehdons #3.... so many of my Dota friends are THAT GUY. My personal pet peeves, not necessarily things that ag me on from the internet community, but my closer friends who i team with usually: 1) You just wont learn. Why do you insist on starting with boots of speed ON ROOK? Youre still slower than them and now you're down 525 mana +4/sec, and health+regen. I need you to tear down towers, not take slightly longer to get chased down. 2)
The so called " speed arms race" only exists because currently the game exists as nothing but a lot of assassins. Even the generals are, in large, played as assassins. When the kinks are worked out and competitive play emerges then a more team focused strategy will take the lead. Until teams quit competing for the right to claim most kills and simply focus on winning, IE: having heroes that push as well as complimentary assassins / protectors, then its going to be a race for speed
tldr all the responses Teleport scrolls are fine as is; the issue is in your strategy. If you know that you have the possibility to be stunned you must remove that option from your oponent before you attempt to teleport. If youre just getting wailed on and killed before it goes off you need to invest in survivability. Situations will demand differnet things- this could be as simple as silencing your foe or starting to move away from th
Just got a couple of quick, easy suggestions that I feel would drastically increase the level of play in Demigods 1) I NEED numbers on my health and mana bar AT ALL TIMES- give me a toggle, give me a game option, something, anything! I understand many people are fine with just a bar that you can get a visual clue to your status but to bring higher level play, numbers should be there. I know that many of you will hate me for the following reference but the
