Cataract provides a perfect (or at least the best at the moment) balance for a general 3v3 game. I had the same problem last night after a freeze and forced close. Locked me out for at least 30 minutes. I discovered, however, that you can join custom games directly from Impulse if you go to the Community Tab and select Games at the bottom. Upon clicking Join next to a game it booted up Demigod for me and took me straight to the Custom game menu, thus bypassing the Login menu. Hope that helps!
