this is off topic but I really want to know the answer. Frogboy, is there actually going to be mod support? it seems this was just promised to get people excited. How can you tell people demigod will be able to be modded and then tell everyone that they will need a 12,500$ program(granny3D) to get anything in. just wondering when this SDK will be out, considering August is over and it not out.

not sure if anyone else noticed but to mod this game we will need the SDK(probably not coming out for a few months) and granny 3d a 12,500$ program. obviously this makes it impossible for anyone to mod, who has that kind of cash to burn.

Q: Will the SDK require Granny to create new models. A: Yes. Ultimately, to get new Demigods in, the user will need Granny. just read this on frogboys post. granny is a 12,000 dollar program. so for now this is probably the last post on this mod idea, until there is some news on the sdk and an actual date set when the sdk is out. thanks for everyones interest.

really cool idea, just a thought that came to me that might be interesting. what if insted of it just being a flag, its actually a spear which is his main weapon, and when he places it in the ground, he sacrifices doing good melee dmg for the area buff. Then he pulls out his sword.

hey Dark Archangel I completely agree with you. while its not a necessity it would make the game allot more fun to play and more interesting. I am working with some people on a scifi mod of demigod (http://forums.demigodthegame.com/360517 ) I talked to our visual effects artist and he is all for this, he is just as disappointed about demigods lack of visual upgrade as you are. It is also a good indicator for your enemies as to what you are using, which is cool.

So here is the satellite level or space station. no flag or tower placement yet, the actual playing feild may change alot. so for now just to give an idea of the backgrounds we are going to be doing. the ships will not be identical. and when its in 3d it will be better.

mini update: I am working with some level designs that I will be posting up tonight or sat morning. I am working on this large satellite level. the players will be at the very top of it, and down beneath it will be large solar panel, an asteroid mining operation and radar towers that rotate around sweeping for incoming signals. the two starting platforms where the citadel is located will have 1 ship on each side that is docked. Really like this idea. It was super fun in supreme commander. like regibond said You could probably pretty easily add demigods in but change their overall color or size and stats and make them into an enemy unit.
