Ahhh ok. Cool. It seems so critical and to me, common sense. But if the reason is not enough time (I would have assumed this was a cornerstone design issue for online play), I hope they find time soon.

During beta (or at anytime), did the devs or designers talk about why there is no visible ranking for online players and then matching players up via a similar system to BattleNet or others? Note: I'm not saying they don't use the data to match us up per se but none of it is visible in the game iteself. It's not like they don't have all the data to do so (albeit right now the stats are totally street rat crazy messed up)...
Wait, you have played 118 games and seen only one comeback?!? I've seen lots and I have played max half that number of games online. Certainly a number on par with other RTS-style online games.
Well, if you consider that the vast number of Pantheon games at least almost always has at least one person drop before the end (either rage-quit, has bad teammate and quits, or simply quits when they can tell there
lmao at this post. This games balance is 100x better then any blizzards game was one month after release - fact.
I think your first line summed up your post :) Lie much? And I'm guessing by your post you've never played a Blizzard game. Even if I wanted to hate Blizzard, there is a reason haters and fanbois always proclaim them the best gaming company...evah. Although I don't really giv

Well, I'm ok with balance issues since those are tough no matter how much you QA (although given the immense number of issues, one has to question how much QA happened). And small, non-game breaking bugs are allowable as well - to a certain extent. But the multiplayer issues in today's age of gaming is an embarrasement no matter how you try and justify it. That said, they have been open about how bad it is and how much they wish it wasn't - and are trying to fix it

Well, maybe I'll look more at custom games, but what I love about BattleNet is that ranks are exremely visible and it tries, as best as possible, to match according to ranks. Not perfect, but the data is extremely reliable and equally visible. Here, you need to run your own version of an Oracle business intelligence data set-up to crunch your own numbers just to have anything accurate (yes, I know, they are working on it like all the other issues)

Brand new game with a ton of hype and 10 or so custom games at any point and time is great? Yes, maybe not dead...but definitely not thriving. Add to it I'm not a big fan of custom games but with the Pantheon severly lacking in any area you can point to (I won't rehash the threads about it), and I guess I don't blame you for pointing out custom games since there isn't much else to try and salvage. BTW, since I bought this - I'm not rooting against it, but I'm strug

Note - Meant to say 118 games, not 418. But the editing features of this forum are about as great as the online multiplayer ;P Or at least half the time I try and edit a post, I get HTML markup and then can't save it (after entering reason) because it keeps saying it needs a message. Say wut wut? BTW, I used to bash BattlNet (Blizzard's online system) once in a while but in hindsight, that thing is GODly given the competition, and to think it's been out for a

I'm guessing multiplayer word-of-mouth issues have killed the game. I bought it despite hearing all the horrible reviews and in many ways I regret it, but thought I'd try and get the most out of the purchase. Sadly, I think between the craptastic online system, horrible AI, and nearly impossible to come-from-behind aspect of the game (we did have 1 come from behind win in almost 418 games I'm tracking), this is relegated to DOTA die-hards and bargain-basement games shopper

...seem to connect to more than one player in Pantheon, once I connected to two. I can connect to one player almost instantly but then the 2 others takes forever and usually one or more leave after some time. I have opnened up UDP 6100-6200 and 6073 but nothing seems to matter. Help!

Ok, so I know it does because I got in a couple times. My experiences right now are that Skirmish online games DO start here and there but almost always 1 or more people drop right away, which causes the 1 or 2 live people left to drop which means every skirmish i've played online so far has been against 100% AI, no live players. Whatever, can't control that (I guess) So I thought I'd try Pantheon. I simply stare at the message "A suitable match has not been foun

Thanks for the replies. I see, so since I only played Pantheon twice, I guess the first time I picked a DG that was light, and now I need to keep playing light until the next start. So then the question is still why I can only pick 3 of the 4 light-oriented DG's? Is it because there are too many active ones of the other one? And what happens to the side (light or dark) that wins Pantheon for a cycle? Since we are not oriented or stuck on one side or

Im somewhat new and enjoying this so far but have a few questions and I cant find answers to from reading the posts, links, etc. (and btw, their light manual is nice to get going but needs a ton more information) Anyway: 1) When I try and play Pantheon, I only can always pick 1 of 3 DG's: Regulus, Oak, and Sedna. And all 3 seem to be Light oriented. I don't mind as I like to play Light but how do you get to select different DGs and is there a
