That didn't help, I'm still getting the same error. =/ Edit: I've figured it out. In one of my frustrated moments I disabled some services... Sorry for making a completely unrelated topic, everything seems to work now.

I bought the game today and can't install either Impulse or the game itself. I've never had any problems with installing programs or games and was quite surprised. I downloaded the latest version of windows installer I could find (4.5 somewhere from mid 2008) and tried again, but no luck. Any idea where I can get a working version? (I'm using a legit version of windows even >_
