Congrats on getting the game ! It's a good one, but has a bit of a learning curve. I recommend playing with a few demi's at first then picking a demigod and learning the skills for that one. I would have to recommend Beast, Erebus or Oak. Be sure to check the strategy forums for different builds. Also as of note, you can wear more than 1 of the same item (ie. 2 helms, 2 armors etc.) Most demi's are played with 2 helms, 2 armors and boots. (ig. Vlemish + Ple

Pacov - Yes, a team that drops out of the tourney could influence the outcome of the tourney per your description. The fairness would be that the final teams that are left are compared to each other only. I think that in the case that all of the remaining active teams have played the teams who have decided to drop out, then those points could remain on the board. In your example all 3 teams played each other, lets add a 4th in there to expand. Team A = 5 po

Unfortunately the fairest thing to do is when a team drops out, which is inevitable, then anyone who has played them and won has the points removed from their overall score. Just for an example, 20 teams enter, teams 11-20 drop out. Then the 10 teams that are left are only compared to each other and the games they played against each other. The only possible exception would be if all of the remaining teams played a team that has dropped out. (i.g. team #20 drops out

It is my understanding that a new patch will be released, timeframe is unknown. It is also my understanding that it is already in the contract between Stardock and GPG. I currently have no reason to doubt it's release but it may be sometime though. J

While I am not a gambler i am willing to wager @ 5 to 1 odds on this prediction: The team that wins the round robin will be in one of the money winning slot of the playoffs. So $46 plus (first, second, third) place winnings has a compound effect as opposed to just a standalone number. also, if the top 3 places win money then that only leaves 1 team out of the top 4 that doesnt win money from the playoffs. <stro

Gentlemen, First off, i thought we voted to do a full round robin tournament instead of a round robin to a bracket system. With that in mind my suggestion is to have the playoffs as round robin as well. Playoff Suggestion 1 Each team of the top 4 plays each other for an additional 3 games. Xmarks is looking into the possibility of a paid service. They are looking for people to pledge to the service to see if it is viable. The plege is $10/year. In regards to your first post, yes. One team will have to pick first for the first game, second for the second game and the outcomes will determine who picks first for the 3rd game. in regards to your second post, i actually agree with that and am debating my current vote.
