If SINS wants to cater to the MP crowd, releasing the game "as is" would be ill-advised. I wouldn't mind waiting a whole month for them to fix balance issues, because if they work extra hard on it, that's probably how long it will take. (And I have a 52k connection... >. As to the original question of another Beta or a post-release patch, if SD doesn't push the release date back, I'd like another beta. Didn't Blair Fraiser say that they'r

RELEVANT TO FLUTTERSHY'S INTEREST. Also loving the idea of buffing the Cobalt's abilities a hair. Other than that, I don't mind if they die to terribly often. Karma to you, Goafan77!
Migrators, scouts and perhaps even minelayers should be separate group.
Agreed, but then you run the risk of getting too many buttons on one little structure (which I wouldn't like). After all the Vasari already does, having some risk/randomness to the Dark Fleet Beacon is a nice catch. Can't have your pie and Pinkie too. Where would the special selection stop? It'd be like the Vasari version of "The Price is Right:"
Advent Rebel Corvettes: By the mane of Celestia, you little pre-pubescent menaces, I will beat every single one of you with a nail-studded baseball bat until you are spraying chunks of vital organs and blood like a water sprinkler!
Just delete your System 32 folder. You'll never have another minidump.

Which is were I believe a portion of the Exodus fleet still is.
Definitely like this. Especially considering all we ever see is skirmishes. The Vasari aren't one complete force anymore. The fact the Dark Fleet has scattered remnants proves this.
I STC'd a Terran and a Volcanic world, both with Artifacts on them. I had to re-colonize, but they both were still there after searching the planets all they way. Could you clarify what you meant by "all the planets with relics on them to dust ie two scuttles. After doing so I noticed some relics stayed mine and some where lost."? Did you have two artifact planets and scuttle them, or did you only scuttle two artifact planets out of x artifact planets? Have a grand day!

Nothing personal, just that I want to know if the hint/the warning is true. OK, fine. SPOILER: No, I really didn't put a spoiler here. But you'll never find out that I pranked you, because all you'll see is a black line!!!!!!!!! How long it takes you to figure ^^ out, probably seven minutes

This isn't really on the subject of the little "code mystery," since someone here will be generous and tell the rest of us. But one thing I have noticed: every race has a special planet type that they like. Vasari have Volcanic, Traders have Terran, Advent have Arid. And barren planets aren't fun for anyone. What does that leave us with? Ice planets. Is there a chance that this lack of specialty towards them could, in itself, been a hint since day one? It would a
OP here. After playing another ten hours of Rebellion, and reading the back and forth that is on this forum, I just want to clarify a few original points that I tried to make that might have been misinterpreted. Well, just one really. The "Hype" came from the company promising "All New" things to us like tech trees, factions, scenarios, existing versions of sins ships (the last of which I've yet to see). They didn't do this in Entrenchment and Diplomacy. In fact, it seemed
I have a gut reaction that this game is a little too good. It's like when a beautiful woman approaches you in a bar and begins flirting. It is more likely that she is a time traveler, Cylon, or delusion. Do not trust her. Escape at the first possible opportunity. Do not play this game.
I see what you mean, but for me, this beautiful girl got me laid. I've loved every minute of it so far, and I just met her! Also, i
When I first saw the picture of the Ragnarov on the orange background with the word "REBELLION" sprawled out on the side, I thought it a dream come true. My favorite game had spawned a sequel, or so I thought. After awhile I learned it was a "stand-alone expansion." This "expansion" came with a hefty tag though: $40. So, having faith in the company that did amazing work with mini-expansions that were $10, I plunked down my coin and said "Bring it on!" As the weeks turned into months
The thing that has disappointed me most was hearing "3 new factions!" "All new tech trees!" and only getting about 5 new techs per faction. The way it was pitched to the public was a totally new way of going at things, the Loyalists being traditionalists and the Rebels being more or less radical and new, but with both having new enough tech to deal with the splintering factions in addition to the other races. "Twin Fortresses" alone does not a new tech tree make. A nearly-iden
Thanks for the reply! My gut says that they will just be special objectives based on the map or factions you are playing with. I really, really hope that they aren't just "Send me two envoys and kill this player" type scenarios. Sins needs more depth than that.
"New Scenarios" Play through 10 new Scenarios designed to give players of all ages a good time. Is anyone else
Seconded. If each race has its own distinct play style and flavor, I would love for the factions to be categorized accordingly. Along this same vein, I've another suggestion. For the TEC, it seems a bit odd to have the "Nithiem Rebels" be a Loyalist faction. Could the devs see about re-naming some of the random faction names to be more fitting to their alignment?
I heartily agree. Along with different pacts, I feel like the tech trees for the two factions are still too similar. I was expecting a 63%/33% split of old/new tech. Perhaps these differences will be fleshed out when the other two races come into play, but for right now, they feel rather underwhelming to me.
About SINS merchandise in general, you know what I've been looking for but cannot find? Iron-on patches. I just got a messenger bag for college and all its missing is the SINS logo and/or a capital ship on it. These things would be pretty easy to make and manufacture, I'd imagine. You know the only real stuff I have beyond the game is window paint on the back of my Chevy Trailblazer that says "My other truck is a MARZA DREADNAUGHT!" And I'd t
Did the error with the Kol's Adaptive Forcefield get fixed? Edit: Playtesting inconclusive on my end.
Reading though the comments, I'd like a "Build Starbase On" mission. Shouldn't be that difficult, right?
@Twilight Storm So basically "turn on" a function for a group of ships that allows your teammates to control them? I really like the idea but I see one issue: wouldn't this sort of nullify both Ship and Planet Vision? You can use the ships your friend lets you, but this would also mean you have to be able to see those ships and (presumably) where they are currently located.
Gah. Photobucket isn't allowing me to sign on with Twitter... >:( Could I post a link to it on my DA?
@Sinperium Pirates have the ability to jump from each of their bases similar to the Vasari's "Phase Gates." Didn't know about the wormhole issue, but considering that there is usually a base in each system, do they need to be able to get wormholes? (Or, perhaps, make them able to utilize them after the threat level is above a certain point)
I will have both soon enough. I'm not able to upload a screen yet, but I have an SP save. I just don't know how to upload it.
