I am going through a router, how do I check it's firewall settings? Lol, I'm a noob.

I turned my firewall off and tried it, no change. Something really odd did happen though. I was in a lobby and some people were saying my ping was over 9000. So I told them to hold on and went to speedtest.net and ran a test. While in the lobby it said my ping was over 9000 (no joke intended) speedtest tells me that it was actually 43... I'm so confused about what is wrong with this game. I need help...

I have flawless connectivity in any other online game I play. EDIT: Tested my ping at 10x the distance away...
