I'd actually look forward to disconnects, seeing as how I can't even join a game without ridiculously high ping (only for me) forcing me to leave the game before further inconveniencing the other players and myself.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you get +10 points for most assists? If that's the case, then here is one scenario: One player on the enemy team is dead during the citadel's destruction. The third player on the list (looks like Harpas, but I'm not really sure) does damage to the other two DGs, enough for him to chalk up assists. Clavex then destroys the citadel, getting the two kills for the last two DGs, and giving Harpas the assists. Now, if you assume he killed the

Gonna bump this since I am having the exact same problem. Tried playing a couple of games online last night for the first time since buying this game, and both matches I was the cause of terrible lag.

Great post, and something that is very reassuring to me. As someone who recently bought this game last week, with no DotA experience, it can be very daunting to see some of the threads already hailing the end of this game. I haven't even had the cojones to join an online game and have stuck to single player for now to learn the game a bit better and maybe not come off as such as scrub online. Posts like these give me more confidence to continue playing this game.
