thanks i tried this earlier but couldnt find the file. but with a quick visit to windows find program i managed to fine the correct containing folder and change this file. thanks alot

ok ive been scanning around the forum to resolve my issue and the 'Unable to start' 'Unable to create Direct3D' seems to be a popular one, however ive tried all of the solutions and none of them work. ive tried copying a game.pref file into the folder to get it running but no luck, ive also tried running it in 640x480 res and no luck. my video card drivers are up to date and i have a Nvidia 9800GTX+ which is capable of running this game. the thing is i installed this game on a wide screen mon
