At first the new version of Poser by Curious Labs appears very much like the Poser 4. That's just because they kept a lot of the user interface the same. But what's under the hood of this new power house is really amazing. The models are much more detailed then they were in Poser 4, and now in Poser 5 you have complete control over the face from lips to eyes to cheek and bone structure. My Personal Favorite Graphics Programs: Adobe Photoshop 6.0 (I don't like 7 yet) 3DS Max Bryce 5.0 Poser 4 Paintshop Pro Xara is good for some things Adobe Illustrator 10 Fireworks is good for graphics on the net but then so are the others... Also have a graphics tablet i use with Illustrator, and occasionally with Adobe PS6. It's very useful for vectors I find.
i'm by far one of the worst wallpaper designers on wincustomize.com but i'll at least put in my two cents for whatever good it is worth i personally use adobe photoshop 6 a lot, i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one. it's solid and very expandible with plugins if you should need them or want them. i havent really ever done much with paintshop so i can't speak for it usability personally. i guess
