I brough three new players to Demigod today. They all went out and bought the game on my convincing, and we're going to get together to play online in just a few minutes. When all is said and done I'll post an overview of our session. We're going to try to play some 2v2s amongst ourselves and maybe a few 4v4s. I'm hoping everthing will go smoothly, that we'll be able to get games going quickly and play them to the end. I'm expecting to spend a lo

misclicked, never mind this post.
So about 2 months ago my friends and I got really fed up with Demigod's connection issues and lack of online features and we quit playing. I love the game, so I thought I'd come back and see how things were doing. If it went well, I was hoping to invite my friends to join me. I've played 7 games over the past week or so and only 2 of them have finished normally. Three of them had at least one person lag out and drop after 20 minutes of solid play, and

I mean seriously, win/loss records don't mean much unless the matchups are controlled by some logical method. But the main point is that stats should be used to create even mathups, this way everybody has the most fun. The problem with Demigod is 1) stats seem to be busted. 2) automatch i
There are a lot of things they should do like League of Legends. But the trick here is that ranked games can only be automatched. That way you gaurantee that people of nearly equal skill are playing eachother, thus giving the win/loss percentage some actual meaning. This is how it works in almost every game with some sort of ranked stat tracking. Using custom games to determine rankings is practically unheard of. But see my previous comment abo
Stats are useful and important so that auotmatch can match players of equal skill and therefore everyone has a good time. But of course, Automatch is completely f*cked so yes, there's not much point.
personally, I think it's absurd that AIs are used in the Automatch system.
You've mentioned on several occasions that Demigod wasn't designed to be a hardcore competetive game. Why was this decision made? And how have the design ramifactions of this decision made Demigod a better product?
Hello, I'm going to be hosting a LAN party and I'm going to have some people over who have never played the game before. Is there some way I can get them a bunch of favor points to play with? It would be kind of dumb if I'm the only one who can use decent favor items. Thanks in advance.
