It happens in the logonprocess. WB is notified (so is other apps that use the same method). The relevant key is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\WB It uses fastload.dll to start WB. The solution to the display problem was found by Brian Anderson who send me the following mail: Luis, Greetings from way down under, I had the same problem with WB 4.4 until i re set my "DPI Settings" back to "Normal" I previously had them set to a much higher setting. However when I changed back and rebooted WB4.4 appeared in the "Display Properties Appearence" Area. If your DPI settings are Normal please disregard this email Regards Brian

I have the same problem with display properties with WinXP home (english) and sp2, XP home (swedish) and with or without sp2. The problem started with some WB 4.4 beta. I think the problem depends in the way you do the installation/upgrade and has to do with the registration/deregistration of wbui.dll. In the configurations that I got the problem there was in the beginning WB 4.3 installed that use the old version of wbui.dll (2004-05-04 date). What I do now is to copy back this old version to W

Whith the last installation of DesktopX beta the themes for iconX was put under DesktopX\Themes. There are 4 of them (*.ixtheme).If you make a directory under IconX with the name Themes and put there the ixtheme-files then you can choose the theme from the first configuration tab for IconX configuguration when you are running DesktopX. Here is the answer from the Toon XP WB problem: Right click on the clock, choose Configure analog clock, change Border width from 27 to 5 and Background color to 255 0 255. Sometimes is dificult to get the context menu for the clock properties so try clicking in different parts of the clock
