Thanks Swicord! And yea, expiration dates on serial codes? Preposterous, but I can't imagine a viable reason why the code wouldn't work, retyped it in 3 separate times.

I bought my copy of Galactic Civilizations II, Collectors Edition, several years ago now. It's been sitting in a drawer with a stack of other PC games for the past two years since my move. I didn't register the game when I bought it, because I did not have internet at that time. Now when I try to register to get the updates for it, it tells me my Serial Number, the one printed on the back of the CD jewel case, is invalid. Do these things have an expiration date of some sort? Just bought this, this afternoon. Installed, and ran it, came up fine to the start screen and suggested I update. No problem. Updated, registered etc, went around in circles for a bit trying to find out where to get my optional content, as I had bought the game at Wal`Mart and supposedly that gave me access to "exclusive" content.
