I did not see enough new features useful to me to make it worth my time to experiment with fences5. I will just stick with fences 4 for now. I may try again in a few months.

I tried that for a little while. No luck - not worth it. I uninstalled ver 5 and reinstalled v 4 which does not have that problem. Let me know when you fix the problem. If not very soon then I need a refund.

I did a safe boot of Win 11. Problem is that fences is then not loaded. Is that what you meant?

I just noticed that object desktop and the windows control panel both say that fences 4 and 5 are both installed.

I removed ccleaner and rebooted. No change. Must be something else causing a problem. I noticed that I also cannot create a new fence.

I did have ccleaner installed. I just uninstalled it but problem is still there. I will try a reboot next and report whether that helps.

Install the reg file ok. Clicked to lock it then clicked to unlock. No change that I could detect. I still cannot remove an icon. Does the computer need to be restarted for that to take effect?

Problem is worse than I thought. I cannot drag any icons to a different folder. Unless there is a fix, I may have to go back to fences 4.

I setup a fence for all new icons. That works as expected - except now I would like to drag an icon to another fence but it stays in the original fence. How can I move a not so new icon to another fence? Do I have to turn the rule off and then back on later?

Tabbed dock -font size in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

I just installed object dock on my new computer. It works but the font used for the tab titles is very small. It gets larger if I change to size of the tabs but then I have very wide tabs. Another thing strange is that when I move the tab size slider the tabs do get wider but they are no all the same width. Those at the left are wider . I have version 2.20.0.862 - is that the latest? The copyright date is 2002-2014 but the update button says it is the l

freezes from time to time in Object Desktop Stardock Forums

Recently the objectdocks (both the quicklaunch dock and the tabbed dock) freeze from time to time. Moving the cursor over an icon or clicking on it does nothing. If I wait a while it will then respond to a mouse click. Not sure exactly when this problem started but it defeats the purpose of a quicklaunch dock. I use both docks and i find that if one is frozen then the other is also. I have version 2.20.0.862 and when i click on 'check for updates' it says it is current despite t

I just installed the beta of groupy and activated the 30-day trial via the activation email. However, the software says that the Groupy license has already expired so I cannot see if it works. Is there some trick?

start10 - no longer have taskbar on main monitor in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

Yesterday the taskbar stopped displaying on the main monitor (I have). I uninstalled and the normal Windows 10 start button and taskbar work fine. I then installed again and have the same problem. I have tried all of the taskbar options in Windows. Work fine with the Windows 10 start button but no longer with Start10. Any suggestions?

Quicklaunch dock sometimes will not un-hide in Object Desktop Stardock Forums

I have the dock at the top of my screen with autohide turned on. Some days it will not un-hide. Makes it useless as a quick way to launch a program. Is there a fix? I am using the current 64bit Windows 10.

I have been having what sounds like a similar problem. The fences suddenly vanish and some of the icons spill out onto the desktop. If I try to run fences I get the message shown above3 about it not being loaded. Fortunately, a restart fixes the problem and all the icons go back to their proper fences. This just started a few days ago. Perhaps a problem with a recent Windows update?

That feature would be important to me also. Right now the icons within a fence are very close together so that icons in a second row overlap the labels on the first row making them impossible to read.
