I know! I'm very disappointed.

Thank you to all that tried to help me with this problem. I spent the evening changing sets and rebooting, it got to the point that it was reverting to windows default every few minutes, even without shutting down. I got so frustrated with it I uninstalled the darn program. Thank you.
I don't use msn messenger, or any im actually. Also, I'm so sorry I got the name slightly wrong, the set is called Boned and its from 2002. I've tried a few more sets that I installed including fauxSTOON, all revert to windows default while the computer loads up.
Well, I applied the CursorFX default set, rebooted and that set stayed. So I applied another set I had downloaded, rebooted, and that set acted just like Bones and reverted to windows default.
Lightstar - sorry almost forgot to answer you. I just installed the program three days ago I'm assuming its the latest version. Thanks.
Wizard1956 - I was misleading to say 'disappeared' it goes to the default cursors, the whole set reverts. What I'm using right now is Bones, I think I installed that one. I've just got home I'll try a set that came with the program and get back here. I did try the trick you suggested then re-booted. I thought it had worked at first because the Bones set loaded at the start, but as everything else loaded it suddenly went to the default set.
Well, it disappears on start up so nothing big is running except the programs needed by this computer and Avast which I've used for years and was fine with CursorFX on my last PC. I'm using Windows 7 and I'm not using Windowblinds so not changing themes. On the couple of times it's disappeared while I'm still connected I was just browsing on Firefox.
I don't seem to be having much luck with this program. Some months ago I installed it on my laptop but ended up having to uninstall it. Now I've a new desktop, Gateway all in one, and just recently bought and installed CursorFX and I keep having problems with it staying applied. Each time I turn on the computer I have to re-apply it and sometimes I become aware that, even with the computer staying on, it's gone again and I have to re-apply. Any help please? Thank you.
Just in case anyone wonders if it would work, I installed the program, it went ok and I could apply a skin but it was choppy, boggy and interfered with the display too much, so I uninstalled it. It's a shame as it would be nice to add a little colour to my netbook. Thanks for the help.
Thank you very much.
Besides my notebook I came here with before with a query I also have a little netbook running Windows 7 starter. Can I run WindowBlinds on it please? Thank you.
I have had to give up and unistall CursorFX [e digicons]:'([/e]
My laptop is an HP Pavilion G series.
Tested it again with default cursors this morning and it was fine. I'm disappointed, looks like I have to uninstall CursorFX.
I described it as idle meaning it was turned on but closed, lid shut. I'm not sure how else to put it. You may be right that its not CursorFX but it didn't do it the one time I reset to the default.
Well, unfortunately with Goldenwood I had the same problem. I'm going to try leaving it idle again for a while with the default cursors.
I'm replying on my Mac to let my laptop idle for a while. I used to use Hand on my PC, more than 4 years ago. It was always a favourite, but I wondered if it's age might be the cause of this problem. I'll leave a message as to how the present set works. I'll be very happy if I can continue using CursorFX.
That is what I'm going to do now. I first needed to see if it had anything at all to do with CursorFX. I've loaded Goldenwood and now have to let my laptop sit idle for about an hour and see what happens.
Well, I have a new laptop that was working fine but after installing windowblinds and cursorfx I noticed a problem. If it was idle, turned on/top shut, for a period of time, when I open it it would show the locked screen then go to the desktop, sometimes showing TWO pointers, then nothing. It would not respond and I would have to force it to shut down. I have now put the default cursors back and tested it, seems to work fine. The cursor set I was using in cursorf
Thank you!!!! So simple, and I was looking for an atual 'disable' button [e classic]:([/e]
I wasn't sure where to post this, hope I'm not in the wrong place. Can anyone tell if and how I can disable, CursorFX please? I don't want to uninstall it yet but I'm trying to find the reason for a suddenly problem which only started after I installed this and WindowBlinds. I'm truly crossing my fingers its not one of them. Thank you.
Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes. I remember you too Navigatsio, I went right to your skins :O)
Hello, I am really a long gone and returning member but because of a mix up I had to re-join under a new name. (Used to be croths.) I left 4 years ago because I went Apple. Still have my Mac but I recently bought a notebook running Windows. As much as I love my Mac it is SOOOO good to play with skinning again. I've spent hours and lots of battery time browsing the site, downloading programs and skins, its so good to be back. Maureen.
