Thanks for that info! I will make a note of that for future monitor purchases.

You're right. If I stand up and look down at the monitor, the colors don't change from top to bottom. I'm very ergonomic minded and have my monitors dead center to my eyes at a slight downward tilt. So now that I know that there's nothing I can do about it, I'll just deal with it. Thanks for helping me to figure that out.
Thanks. The screen shot is at http://tinypic.com/r/2rhtclu/9 Am I seeing things ? Do the fences seem darker at the top ?
Quoting clyfton_hayes, reply 5 How do I post a screenshot? There could be a button on your keyboard, top row... says "print screen" .. hit that, then open irfanview, paint or whatever you have and then save. That will be your screenshot.<b
If you drag your taskbar from the bottom of the screen over to the side, making it a vertical taskbar, is the top of the taskbar too dark and the bottom too light?
My taskbar is black and the color does not change from top to bottom when I drag it to the side as you suggest.
How do I post a screenshot? I see an image insert button but it wants a URL.
I have the latest paid version of Fences and the fences towards the top of the screen are dark. They get lighter the further down they go until the bottom ones are fully bright. I don't like this. I want them all the same color but I can't find a setting to adjust this. How can I set them all to the same color?
I notice when I play the AI on the hardest levels, the AI ships are always level 7. At the end of the game I look at the chart labelled CAPITAL SHIP LEVELS PURCHASED. I see that the AI has purchased way more ship upgrades than I have (even though we ended up with roughly the same size fleets) I have only been able to purchase the first few levels. After that I never see an option to purchase further levels. Is this an AI cheat or is there a way for me to purchase more
Interesting. Makes sense. Thank you!
I was playing a game against AI and had gotten all of my capital ships up to level 9. Towards the latter part of a game I lost a level 9 Kol. I replaced it with two new Kols which I purchased a couple upgrades for. By the time the two new ships joined the rest (not a formal fleet), the rest of the capital ships were level 10. Within a very short time, the two new Kols were level 10. How did that happen? It would be nice to know how to accelerate
When playing TEC Loyalist against TEC Loyalist. At the end of the game, one of the graphs shows CULTURE CENTER STRUCTURES. I noticed the AI had built a bunch of these. What exactly is a CULTURE CENTER STRUCTURE?
Not sure what you mean by Starting Planet ... I can't seem to find that setting. But, I have the following for AI home planet: - type = TerranHome - owner = NewPlayer1 - IsHomePlanet = True AI home world has two metal and one crystal asteroids. I do not have any asteroid planets in this universe. AI did create one Akkan and about a dozen Corsevs but that's it.
Hello, I built two galaxies of 50 planets each in Galaxy Forge. I set AI on Normal Tech Loyalist Aggressor. I played for 3 hours building up my galaxy and resources and fleets and was wondering why I'm not being attacked. I saved and reloaded and switched players to see what AI was doing. AI had not researched anything or conquered any planets. AI had a hand full of frigates and that's it. I tried again with AI set to maximum diffi
Thanks. That worked. How are crystal and metal asteroids controlled per planet? My planets only have one of each. I tried different templates but no change.
The game works great until I turn on Flagship Victory.
oops. sorry. I meant Flagship Victory.
I built two galaxies for me vs AI and it works fine. However, when I start a game with Capital Victory selected, I am immediately defeated. When I look at my planet there is no capital ship. I think the game is unable to place a capital ship with my map created in galaxy forge. Do I need to tweak something? Thanks in advance.
I am trying to build a training universe with me having my own 50 planet galaxy and one AI player in each of 2 other 50 planet galaxies. When I preview, sometimes I get empty universe, sometimes I get one with one galaxy, and sometimes with the correct number. This happens without changing any of the settings...just repeatedly clicking PREVIEW then QUIT. Also, no matter what I set the sliders to, I have a super long route from my home planet to the cluster around the s
Wow. There it is. Thanks.
I have seen forum entries that indicate there is something in TEC Research that can increase a planets slots but the name of this research is never mentioned. I can't find it. If it really exists can someone please tell me what the name of the research item is?
ok well then that's another weird thing I am now aware of. When I quick-hide, all my icons disappear .. even the ones that are not in fences.
Philly0381 ... you were right ... thanks ... I've never used that option in my life so I don't know how it got checked. RedneckDude ... thanks for the advice ... but is there a way to arrange icons on the desktop (that are not in a fence) through fences instead of Windows Icon Handling?
I originally purchased fences years ago. It had too many problems so uninstalled and waited for new versions to try again. Sadly, I'm only using it a week and have already had 3 issues to report to the forums. The latest one is ... I added a new icon to my desktop. Then I right-clicked the desktop to sort by type. Then I got a pop-up from fences asking something about maintaining a sort order. I chose NO. I then moved the icon to another scr
I have only been using fences for a week or so and I notice droopy fences. I have 14 narrow fences in a row and most of them gained extra blank space at the bottom somehow. I have not added or subtracted icons from the fences. I had to go and tighten them all back up again. What is going on ?
