I just hope one day some developer picks this license up and reboots the series. [e digicons][/e]
Amen to that. demigod was the best moba ever made. But most of us have had to leave to Smite now, given how hard it is to get games. If you want to join the Demigod alumni Smite guild look me up in game, I go by KingofBriton on Smite.

A respected player PM'd me today. Apparently, Shevcove has improved. This time he paused the game when his citadel was at 30% hp, and went afk indefinitely. The other team could not even quit.
So..... I thought I would give Shevcove one last chance to prove himself: EXACT SAME RESULT http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/2274742/player/202320/

If Shevcove loses a match he will attempt a disconnect at the end to screw the stats. I have seen this several times and speaking to other players they have seen the same. As a result he is not welcome in any of my lobbies, and you all must exercise your judgement.
[I emailed them] Hi Stardock, For the last week connections and lobbies in Demigod have been going haywire. It is taking far longer to connect, failed lobbies are up and more players have big connection problems. Could you please investigate, if you wanted to communicate with the community directly we would welcome you doing so here: <a href="http://forums.demig
[posted here as its the only forum I have reason to believe anyone ever looks in] For the last week we have been experiencing some major problems with connectivity in Demigod lobbies. It is taking many times longer than normal to connect to a lobby, and lobbies are frequently failing between starting the game from the lobby, and the actual game beginning. Would be great to know that SD are aware and are able to a
From the article: "D22: Your first point is probably my biggest takeaway from Demigod’s launch as well – how many copies did you guys sell in the end? (I own two copies having bought Demigod recently on Steam )" Since there are only about 12 of us that are still active players anyone want to come out as our resident games journo?
I was just happy having someone from GPG explaining the initial networking issues when we launched. Over the years, a mythology has grown that Demigod was ready to take the world by storm but Stardock somehow came in and "messed up" the networking in the game.
I'm guilty of propagating that myth myself until recently when someone set me straight. I suppose it did not help that since Elemental was such
yes nnnnnnlis, most days will see games going in European evening/night times.
" And if you need DA's Warp Area to clear creep waves, I think your team is doing something wrong." Yeah, that pretty much sums up most of the teams I get landed with.
The big problem for me with any AI is that they cannot think creatively, so their tactics are always poor and their strategy lousy, they can only make do with sheer brute force which can be avoided if you know how to play strategically. If I ever play vs an AI, I normally play solo against 2 nightmares or 3 normal AI, as while I can’t beat them toe to toe I can trick them onto towers, or simply go around them and gain map control. That said it’s
Thanks for the help Sch, I’ve updated the guide. Some very valuable contributions there. Also……. “DA: You don't max Swap?!? I'd rather sacrifice Warp Strike.” It’s an interesting point that and I have oscillated on that one but I’ll tell you why I now sacrifices swap for Warp Area, or Warp Strike. Firstly, DA is very talent point constrained, he can make really
With the recent influx of players I thought it worth jotting down a few basics. If anyone actually ends up reading this I can update, and if any other experienced players want to add their thoughts I will gladly include. This thread will be a great place for new player to ask any questions they may have. [Thanks to Schwiegerknecht and AA_reggird for helping flesh out the guide, any more comments still welcome] -Incidentally, AA_reggird is by some margin the best player in
I can’t help you with the technical aspects, but I do intend to rescue you from SP mode AI, which are awful. The SP AI have not been updated since launch, and since then veterans have racked up tens of thousands of hours of game play experience and we know exactly what equipment, consumables and citadel upgrades are worth having and which are not. The standard AI does not know any of this. What you need to do is download and install the big
Seth, people do still play this game. However as a new player you will find it hard to get a game. The regular players are well used to new players turning up, insisting they know the game, then upon starting amble around cluelessly before dying once and rage-quitting. Which kinda screws over their team. Since you made an effort to post on the forums I’ll try and include you on a game if I’m hosting, but please player the single player plenty of times before
About this time last year I found myself determined to personally tutor a bunch of noobs. So when one turned up I would establish they spoke at least some English and then give them a try on my team. Frustratingly I found that about 80% of them would die three times and rage quit about 3 or 4 minutes in, which sort of killed my enthusiasm. Other winning behaviour would be me carefully explaining that we need to buy Fortified Structures and Currency and they would just b
This is a hard game to get into Pogz but I don't actually mind losing games with a noob as long as they are polite and make an effort to learn. A lot of new players join a game die twice and then quit, and if you try and help them they scream at you. But as long as you big up the 'nice guy, willing to learn' side then your find people will be willing to take a few losses to help you. However, before you get into the mulitpl
You questions betrays the answer. Yes this game does have the best gamplay graphics mechanisms etc. It is a substantially better game than the others you mention. Gas Powered Games did a really good job. A few tweaks were needed, but nothing that could not be patched out in no time. It even had a large initial influx of players. So you would think that it had all the ingredients for success. But as with other games published by Stardoc
If it is easy enough to do these updates why not spend a very short amount of time to push out the core mods to everyone on steam/impulse. The community has fixed most of the bugs in the game and significantly enhanced the AI. You could take these mods and just ensure that everyone gets them in their mods folder. If all noobs learnt to play the game against enhanced AI they would find transition to the multi player significantly easier and it would help grow the communi
Oh, and if you do start doing Multi, make sure you have the game in windowed mode so you can surf or play another game while your waiting in lobby 45 minutes.
I just limit my play time to weekends and a few hours during the evenings, during these times I can get a game after not too long. Although it would be much harder for a new player.
Sorry man, Download Pacov's mod package, enable the Enhanced AI and play hard and nightmare AIs, when you can win these games, you are set to start playing n00b games.
OMG_IN1 (aka A_reggird) ruined the game for everyone by trolling every game, and being a total fucking asshole.
Just but for some reason threads about him get locked just encase people wake up to the fact that they don't have to put up with him and he gets banned. If he did get banned we would have a decent chance of growing the community combined with a steam sale.
