Thanks for the link. I have set the Virtual Memory from "default" to "custom" and set up parameters as 32GB x 1.5 for minimum and 32GB x 3 for Maximum. I used the scale on the website. I have reset several times and made sure all changes took affect. Sadly no improvement in the game. The pauses are almost 15 seconds at times. Longer when adding modules to a starbase. I have turned down screen resolution and used low res graphics settings with no improvement either. I was thinking of recording

I was hoping to not have to turn down graphics, But I will try that. I am not sure of how to set the Virtual Memory setting for the game. I will have to look that up. Thanks
Anyone having a problem with Galactic Civilizations 3 Crusade freezing and running VERY slow on Large maps later in the game, like after turn 20 or so? I am running the newest version 2.71 and the problem has been there for quite a long time. Usually I give up playing and start over a new game. Or even just stick to smaller maps. I have a very good laptop that should not have any problems with this game. Its an MSI GT72 VR 6RD Dominator Bought just for gaming and it
Thank you for responding, I get that I held it up. Thank you for the info. I will see if I can fix this laptop, otherwise maybe time for an MSI dominator or something

Interesting... I do have an Intel based video card on this laptop. It has worked always before, in fact for over 350 hours of game time. I wonder what changed? An update on their part? Any ideas before I go searching for information on this issue? As for too many players... I can't even get the game to start LOL, But I too have had issues with huge games in the past, had to tone it dawn a bit for more fun. If only I could get Stardock S
Good to know thank you
Yeah I don't think the validating of the files is the issue here for me. Its either corrupt files or my laptop. I can play anything else I own and I already have played many hours on this laptop so I am assuming it is the software. I can't get support to reply to me since Wednesday when I filed a ticket so I am just getting frustrated. Thank you for any help offered
Thanks but I have Validated many times using both the Stardock launcher and through Steam. Both say there are 1 or more files that are bad and need to be reacquired. And after several attempts at validation I do finally get that ALL files check good. So.... I then reboot my computer, Validate again and verify still ALL CLEAR and I click on the damn icon. I choose play from the launcher window and within seconds I get the window that says "The game must have crashed" and also as
I read how to dis able mods by editing the Prefs.ini file. Unfortunately the game still crashes with mods disabled
Yes I have them enabled and I do have stuff from the workshop. Can you disable mods from command line?
Is anyone else having any issues with Galactic Civilizations III getting it started? I have been playing the game for hundreds of hours on this laptop with only minor issues in the past. BUT now the game will NOT even start at all. All I get after clicking on icon is a screen popping up that states the game has crashed and wants some info. I have tried to get a hold of Stardock support,
