(MP3 KVM Pro 3.6) Background My primary is Win 11 24H2 with 2 secondary Win 10 (all 3 are on same LAN) For about 3 years I have struggled with either black screens or screens that work but kbd/mouse is inactive. Usually restarting KVM service on primary or secondary or both clears it up. I have uninstalled / reinstalled 20+ times. I have opened tickets. I have received purgemp-new.bat to clear all traces.... And its always been

I cant. When windows is set to sleep the monitor, the monitor detects lack of signal it then writes in bright white “No signal detected”. This moves around constantly on 65 inch oled and prevents oled pixel cleaning and related. spoke to lg. i cant disable the message or make it run required pixel maintenance with monitor on. It will only run with monitor off for extended period of time im in interoperability hell t

Hi, The problem reoccured yesterday after needing to borrow the display from my secondary. Connection was fast but screen was black. Following your earlier reply, I followed the url for remote headless display I had screensaver off, power always on, lastest NV drivers so there was nothing left to do except try a headless HDMI dummy plug I had lying around. The black screen resolved immediately. Do you have any known reason why MP3 is sensitive to lack of a

I went into device manager and disabled power savings on all enumerated USB devices and suddenly things have stabilized for the past 2 days. I cant say its fixed, but im going to let things bake in before trying mpportfix because currently fw is disabled on both machines and I was really careful creating the rules manually according to the docs. Thanks

Hi, Uninstall script ran fine. I deleted both primary and worst secondary, rebooted and reinstalled clean (including product key) I was able to immediately and repeatedly open a connection but the screen was completely black and there was no mouse/kbd. Just black screen. This was 100% repeatable. I verified bitdefender av, threat protection and f/w were disabled but same result. I decided to kill all video and input devices in device manager on the seco

Hi, I have the same 1 primary and 3 secondaries defined in Multiplicity for several years now. With the primary being Win 11 and the rest Win 10. All devices are on same LAN with no wireless or network layer devices in between other than the one 8 port hub I have had connection issues ongoing for years now. I have created several posts but the answers were always very generic and the issues have never gone away.(Exact symptoms vary a bit from time to time, but i have a hell of

Hi, I didnt quite understand your reply. If you are suggesting that I could open KVM connections to all my secondaries, they would then show up in the taskbar when the session is minimized, I have tried that. This approach doesnt work well. First it requires me to connect to all the secondaries manually. (They dont auto-open) Then cut/paste is difficult. After cutting, I have to cycle through maybe 10+ taskbar items (KVM sessions + all my open windows) to locat

I have one monitor on my primary pc and two headless secondaries. I do own dummy hdmi plugs that can fool secondary display adapters into thinking they have monitors plugged in if needed (they are not currently installed) In this configuration KVM mode works What I expected / would like in seamless mode, is when the cursor goes off screen or I press a hotkey, the primary desktop display flips or pans to the chosen secondary. At a minimum this would be like KVM mode whe

And to clarify, if i align left and choose show on monitor 2, i cant trigger sidebar to display because the mouse doesnt stop on the left edge on monitor 2, it continues onto monitor 1. For some reason my NVidia card thinks monitor 1 is active even when its on a different input. This prevents the cursor from stopping at the left boundary of monitor 2. Its a pain

Good idea but I cant align left. I have 2 monitors side by side (secondary on left, primary on right) The desktop spans both monitors. The left hand usually is set to HDMI #2 which displays my PS5. When I set MP to align left, it aligns to the left of monitor 1 (which means it is not visible until I switch back to HDMI #1). If there was an option to "Align left on primary", that would work. However since I now know how to create a shortcut, sidebar isnt 100% critical. I can just throw

1) I have had this issue for years but until recently I didnt need to access the secondary machines a lot. Originally I thought it was a bug in MP and that other people would report it and eventually it would get fixed. No such luck. Now that Im using the secondaries daily, I was hoping to get this resolved 2) You misunderstood " Close and reopen the keyboard ...". What I mean is... If I close and reopen the MP session, then the

Sidebar is unwantingly opening about 20 times a day because my mouse ptr is near the edge of the screen for a moment. This may occur because Im clicking the close window on a full screen app or trying to use drag a scroll button near the right edge. I have delay checkbox enabled but I was wondering if there was a setting or regkey to set the delay. If not, could someone consider this for a future enhancement?

My primary and secondaries are all 1Gb lan wired connections on Win 10 with no AV and no firewall (i would like to enable these after fixing this) When I connect to a secondary I commonly see a blank desktop. Sometimes for 5 seconds, sometimes for 2 minutes. It NEVER FAILS OR ERRORS. Its just slow to initially draw the desktop. Other times the display is just fine but keyboard/mouse dont work. If I close and reopen the keyboard usually starts working. There is nothing

Hi, I am running one primary and 3 headless secondaries. Currently the only way I know of to connect to a secondary is to use the multiplicity sidebar app. Is there a way to create a shortcut for each secondary OR one shortcut that prompts for the desired target? Ideally I would like an icon on the taskbar. IF there is a way to use a mouse gesture to connect/disconnect from a secondary, that would be fine too. Thanks

Ok. My pc only has intel's internal display adapter which is limited to 1280x1024. Is it possible to configure MP to use the Microsoft Remote Display Adapter Driver instead? Thats what remote desktop uses to draw much higher resolutions than can be displayed locally

Hi, I tried it with no improvement. Honestly, it didnt appear to do anything. I thought it might shuffle icons around or sort them or something, but nothing obvious happened and the clipping persisted. Please note that I have fence separation at 1 pixel (2 fences side by side separated by 1 pixel) and I manually dragged left and right edge inward until it stopped (min width allowed by a fence based on icon size). I am wondering whether the fence resizing routine is all

These 2 clips were taken 30 secs apart with no changes applied. Only thing different is that I clicked on different fence. Clipping can be slight or moderate. There are times when left 2 chars are missing on every line of the icon label <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/50/8/5008942/4d33d225-80cb-423d-9eba-04d6c908aaba.jpg"

Im on V4. Wow. That did fix it. Why is Lock Fences tied to fence labels? I cant see how they are related. I would like to adjust width which doesnt require labels to be present. Either way, it would be desirable at least to show the choice greyed out. That would hint there is an option that is blocking it from being enabled.

Thanks. No change. Its easy for me to repro. I have 2 fences lined up side by side (left, right). When created there was a gap between them that I didnt want. I dragged the fence edge to extend/reduce the width of the fence as desired. I chose to reduce the window size until it was the min width for the existing icon size. In this way the fence displayed all the icons and text correctly. I did the same for the other fence. Now I dragged the fences so they were separated by 1 pixel (es

Why is remote desktop able to provide much higher resolution and proper 16:9 ratio when multiplicity seems to be stuck at one resolution only? I know I can press 1:1 but that doesnt improve resolution. Ive poured through the docs and the configuration options. I cant seem figure out how to do this Thanks for any help

Winx64 Pro with all patches) I have multiple fences aligned next to each other and the width manually set to be wide enough to properly store the icons. It displays fine for a while and then 1/2 of the icon is missing/truncated. By simply clicking any icon in the fence will cause it to draw properly. If I click outside of the fence, the fence displays wrong. If I reboot it works properly for a while. (I have uninstalled/reinstalled graphics driver without impro

I intend to upgrade (if stardock has such a thing) eventually when Win 11 is more mature and if/when they support TPM / wrong processor officially. I cant imagine millions of people rushing out to buy new MB, processor, etc just to get Win 11 especially when prices are insane. However, I would get it immedately if it ran on Win 10. Anyway, I chased this issue for 2 weeks and less than 24 hours after posting, I decided to do something crazy time intensive. I downloaded MS symbo

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. Are you telling me that Start10 wont be fixed? I dont own Windows 11. If Stardock forces me to upgrade to fix a bug in the existing product, is there an upgrade price? As you are obviously very familiar with Start 11, whats the top new feature for Start 11 (other than Win 11 support) Happy Holidays
