The opening menu doors, however, is largely based on the machine. We may have to pause the background threads when that plays and then continue the thread when it's done on slower machines. by Avatar Frogboy - 2/8/2003 1:18:25 PM An AMD 1800 with 512mb RAM is a "slower Machine"??? Beta must be closed in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

:sniff!: I just purchased the Galactic Civilization w/beta Cd. After downloading the Drengin.net game manager, it will not allow me to connect be cause I do not have a valid serial number. I was entering my order number. As I looked at the confirmation e-mail it reads that the serial number status is: Shipped by Stardock. I can only assume that I will be unable to D/L the beta game. This is frustrating (I was lead to believe by others on the message board that the beta will still
