Is there a point where I shouldn't say, build News Networks and such? ~SDC~

I've played on a medium map with loose clusters, but ended up in one corner separated by a large divide from the other races. The Drengin pretty much cleaned up but with me being so far away, I couldn't do much to stop it.
How different exactly are the various races? Do they actually have behaviours that are racial, and just not based on their intelligence and morality? Or is it just like humans with different ability bonuses, etc.?
Okay, I've been holding my tongue on this for awhile, but this chronic spelling error for the word 'morale' is driving me nuts. :sniff!: Morale, with an 'e' is what most people are trying to say, but are instead saying 'moral' which is the meaning of a story, or in the usage of 'morals' the difference between good and evil. So, please, add that 'e' and your posts will look much better. Thanks! :D
What, you mean like two months after release? :notsure:
One chronic bug I have is that every so often, when I go to STATS on either the Foreign Relations menu or less often, the Domestic window, the game crashes to Windows. I'm using XP. ~SDC~
In a similar way, I assume you can't stack to the nth degree the Starbase module that subtracts one from your enemies movement? ~SDC~
Am I looking at this idea correctly? If I get Manufacturing bonuses, it ends up costing me more money unless I get 'free' bonuses (like the 6+1)? So unless my economy is capable of sustaining increased Manufacturing, I shouldn't necessarily get it? In otherwords, it isn't the slam dunk that it is in Civ? ~SDC~
1. What exactly is Range? More than once in my first game so far I get a message saying I'm out of range (heck, I had a fleet go to sleep right on the doorstep of an enemy planet). 2. Why do some spacecraft only have a speed or range of 0? 3. Why would you set your spending to anything less than 100%?
