A grid that you can turn on and off. And a number under a ship destination telling you how many turns it will take to get there, a la Civ 3. The grid would help out in a number of ways. I was trying to lay a drone net out, for instance.

I'm a complete noob, but thank GOD this game came along on the heels of the horror that is MOO3. I have only just started playing, but I have two suggestions. The first is pretty trivial, but necessary I feel. 1) A .pdf download or something similar that shows the tech tree and all of it's links to one another. I've not been able to find one. The way it's displayed on the screen is certainly informative, but feels cramped. 2) The ability to custom design ships. T
As far as I'm concerned, as a loyal MOO fan for years, if GalCiv cleans Quicksilver's clock. Some of the responses they have given indicate they knew the community reaction was going to be hostile. They had HOW many years to pull this glorifed spreadsheet off? And yet I saw an interview with Rantz where he said he wanted another two or three years. OMFG!!!! I have never been as hyped up, nor as let down, as I was over MOO3. I will not return it, however, out of loyalty to the franc
