oops I was checking my email and accidently hit submit. anyway, fights now happen only as the AI can send a ship or two in my direction. I took out the three military resources Im aware of and claimed them for myself so a single ship of mine can take down on average about 4 of their ships before I recall it for repair. I guess what im saying is I havent seen a situation where tactical oriented combat would have been a chore. Thx for the reply, V

First of all lets get one thing straight. I havent even played MOO3 and have no desire to do so. Yes MOO1 still is my favorite. It had a special balance many new games are lacking. If this makes me a MOO fanboy then fine. If you somehow think this lessens the validity of my suggestions then you're a fool. I now play GalCiv. So I am here on the GalCiv forum. Simple as that. About the stack bonus. I suggest this simply as a way for larger fleets of smaller ships to compete. Nothing more.
1. Waypoints Zooming to every planet when a ship is finished simply to take it out of orbit is a drag (this has been stated many times already). Whats worse is the fact you arent finished here. You must next, AGAIN, cycle through each ship to select a destination. Cant believe this stuff makes it through final.. 2. Sensors research This aspect could have been much more evolved with more incremental steps between starting range and the mid-late game message "your sensor range h
Thread wasnt about suggestions guys. Read the topic... Age of Contructors, anyone that has experience with the game understands this including the devs. The thread doesnt need to be placed in some 400 deep multipurpose dumpster. The suggestion was "thrown" in later for clarity. wink, V
If you havent looked smart guy, I will point you to the left of this forum where it says three things. First it says "galactic forum", next it says GC strategies, finally it says GC Mods. If you enjoy running through 20+ screens each turn when it isnt needed with a good UI then FINE. I dont care. You can check the fanboy attitude at the door though. I love this game though Im no fool. It could be improved greatly. V
In other words. We need "waypoints" or "rallypoints" for ships BADLY in this game. From factory to launch to flight to destination without us having to cycle through each friggin screen so much. k done. thx, V
It would be named Age of Constructors! :\ V
Hope you didnt take my comments the wrong way considering after my last post the remainder of the thread was wiped :) Its good to hear major updates will be released in stand alone versions. Lets see here. I registered for forums, next I registered for metaverse and now I must register on stardock for small patches. Thx for the quick update Vedric
Is this patch along with future patches going to be available in a stand alone version for those who dont wish to deal with the stardock_central.. drengin whatevernet.. enter name again... give us email or die... login or else... remember yet ANOTHER inet password kind of garbage? :) This is the way I got the bonus pack and 1.01. Works like a champ. Vedric
Ive had the Galactic Stock Exchange built for atleast a year now yet the Drengin complete one of their own (pop up window says they did)! Anyone else noticed any problems with "1 per galaxy" projects being built multiple times? Perhaps some projects are labeled wrong and are actually "1 per race"? Overall im loving this game. I think moo1 had a special balance that no other game has touched. However my enjoyable addiction to GalCivs says alot for a genre which has been lacking quality r
ack! I just saw frogboys bug reports thread. I will repost there. thx

Better yet, just double click the ships you want out of orbit in the small "ships" window when you are in the production screen. Since you always zoom to the planet production screen after building a ship this seems like a good habit to get into. I realized my previous solution doesnt help with planets that have a ship garrison. Though it does work for planets without a garrison safe from the front lines :) -Vedric
Try this. The mini in the upper right hand corner has several settings icons just below it. One setting, I think its "show population", will highlight each planet with a globe of color. When a ship is orbiting a planet this sphere of color will be lighter than where no ships are orbiting. By looking at the map its really simple to see where you have ships in orbit. Im pretty sure the "show pop" icon causes this. I'll check it out and if im wrong ill post again. Also rally point
