My CD arrived at my door in Belgium (Europe)... I paid for the CD on March the 26th, 2003 - so all those that are still waiting, be patient... I did have to pay an additional (tax) fee which made this game quite expensive -- good thing, it's a good (replayable) game ;p Thanks STARDOCK! -fredo

Anyone having problems recieving the CD when bought online from Stardock ? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hi, I'm from Belgium (Europe) and upto now didn't receive my CD I ordered - it's not a big one because I can play - but even after sales@stardock told me they would resend the CD I still haven't got it. I ordered the day it was possible to order online. I wonder how long it takes for a package to arrive and if anyone in Europe has had similar problems ? Greets, -fredo

Hi, I noticed the following problem (running v1.03a.057), when selecting sector sweep and in the same turn, create a starbase using a constructor, the info "sector sweep" will stay under the starbase, and will not go away. last few updates where always 85meg !?! ... normal or not ? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hi, Today I'm upgrading to 1.03.054 from 1.02.049 and SDC says it's 85meg... last time I updated I got the same and asked about it in the IRC channel.. then the answer was: not normal - although everything worked. I have cable so the size isn't a real problem, it's just I'm from Europe so the speed is a little problem ;p Should I reinstall the game ? I don't want to get 85meg everytime there's a patch LOL -frerdo

I had a similar problem today, galciv.exe was in process list but didn't get anything else. Happened when I uninstalled sdcentral - so I would propose, install or re-install sdcentral (latest version) and reboot. That did it for me. I'm not sure if the game needs sdcentral or one of the files that comes with the sdcentral installation. -fredo

Unsure this is mentioned already, so here it goes, I have v1.02.41 running, when I "Purchase" something (eg. Fusion Power Plant), it tells me it will be ready next month. When you replace this item with something else (eg. Shipyard) - the item I purchased seems "gone" and the new item takes XX weeks to build again. My question ofcourse, did I loose the first item - even when I spend money on it ? Same problem - if it is one - when launching a transport, you can load people on it again a

Uninstall of sdcentral, reboot and reinstalled sdcentral solved it. Not sure what was wrong, also, when I uninstalled sdcentral, the game itself didn't start anymore - is this normal? I did see galciv.exe in the process list (I'm on W2K). Strange things... -fredo ps. this one is posted from sdcentral 0.99f.157 build 7 ~SDC~

help (Brad): sdcentral update problem... in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

As usual sdcentral updated itself (to 0.99f.157 buil 7) today (10 April) and now I just get the animated "Clock" in the Drengin.net tab. It just sticks there, the "Clock" keeps moving, but nothing happens. Normally this is very smooth and quick. Any ideas what might be wrong? The server down? I don't get any error messages. Help :notsure: -fredo

I think/find that 1.01b should have a change so that starbases are shown in the mini-map (up-right corner) - as long as resources are free, you can spot them, from the moment a starbase is on it, it's gone, not seeing your own starbases are annoying when the map gets bigger, or the number of starbases go up... :p :notsure: -fredo

Would love to see a change in the next update, when putting a starbase on a resource the "dot" dissapears on the map (right-up corner) and when playing big maps, this becomes a problem to find some of those starbases back (to upgrade for example). Or maybe I'm doing something wrong ? :( -fredo
