*bump*...? This is still the million dollar question. Here's an idea, Stardock, why don't you guys set up a round-table with us modders and we can all work it out so we know your expectations but can take our input? M
And when asking for a job, avoid "shouting," and make absolutely certain your grammar is correct. :) M
Well, that is partly Stardock's decision. One of the reasons (I'm sure...) that Stardock isn't considering some of my submissions is they include, say, some techs AND improvements, etc. They seem to be worried about these "packs" you mention. I have created a couple "packs" that put whole trees in with improvements and the like. If I can ever get registered at CDG I'll post them there. M
Star Trek music....especially Klingon music and "Battle in the Mutara Nebula" from ST2. Also, my opening song is always "Faith of the Heart" by Russell Watson. M
The problem is as it current exists, there is little variability to the issues. This is on the list the developers are keeping for improvement. M
I think I posted about this before. If you know your Tolkein, it's hard not to trip on names like "Arnor" or "Mithril"ar etc. Brad isn't the frst and won't be the last to be seduced by the wonderful naming of Tolkein. M
Obviously I was not clear, and for that I apologize. I am exhorting the community to flex their wings and move on from the safe and into the true modifications. My point always has been that it seems we are pandering, if we are or no, to a "correct" form of mod that isn't letting our creativity take wing. So far all of the arguments I have seen are moot. I even saw a "Ming and Flash Gordon" event. Even the argument that copyrighted material won't get posted is proven untrue. <
Don't know why not. It's a much desired feature. (Actually, the reason is pretty obvious: if you could choose WHICH UPEvent to have, you could mold the game into something that would help you win. Can't have that :)) M
The devs are currently asking for someone to step forward and moderate the Library so Stardock approved mods can be more widely available. M
It WAS a mod in the Library but was removed. The easy fix is to edit it with notepad, and change the title of it from OrbitalHospital to OrbitalBiosphere. Easy fix. I won't comment on whether the author even tried it out first :). M
"Stardock will likely never be able to host things like Babylon 5 mods or Dune mods due to the licensing fees, so stop going on about that." I won't stop. The modding community should never produce just the safe things that are copyright free. I'M not interested in making a Babylon 5 mod, but I would dearly like to see one. Just because Stardock offers hosting seems to have sharply limited the creativity level of the populace. M
That would be quite cool! M
I chose the Communications family. I did search for a way to specify a graphic to no avail. M
Please up the complexity of the trade module of the game. This is certainly a way to do it. M
a.) Was the movie any good? Pretty good. The ending requires you to know the X-Men comic books well. I didn't but was filled in when I expressed my confusion. 2.) Do you think it was suitable for children to see? No. Lots of violence and scared children makes this question easy for me. The scared kids in the movie will give your kids nightmares. Yes, I'm a parent and a schoolteacher. d.) In descending order, rate the Fabulous Babes in the movie Only o
Good will always triumph over evil because evil trips and falls in bottomless pits. M
Not only can you add, subtract and modify techs, but I have built six different tech trees to enhance my own gameplay. This includes a weapons technology tree, a xenoreligion tree, a species philosophy tree, a genetic uplift tech tree, an environmental engineering tree, and a defensive technology tree. To add to this, I have added a couple starbase modules, a few anomalies, some events, a few trade goods, some early technology wonders, a few other improvements and more. Of cour

Wow, lot's of Tolkein in there. I hope his estate doesn't catch wind :) M
First off, let me state that modding includes altering fundamentals of the game. Currently no modders are writing about being interested in modifying the executables, so we have been sharply limited in our possibilities right there. Currently, mods that make it into the Library are mostly items you will find in an expansion pack. To be blunt, it's obvious that we are taking care of a good chunk of development for them. The Library is an exclusive club where only items that can
Well, I can see your point if you build a bazillion social projects like you do. I only select one system to have shipyards, etc. I definitely build the med center for that one. If the total bonuses give you +25 hp or something, that extra five percent adds up. M
Does this imply the same may be considered here? M
The beauty of those is the bonus they give really jacks up your scores when combined with others of its ilk. A for-instance is the Med Center, which really shines when you combine it with shipyards, quality centers, etc. M
