For what it's worth, I can't find a prefs.ini in my GalCiv directory. Dunno if Lightzy might be in the same boat or not.
Having trouble getting into windowed mode myself. Is there an in-game option for it? Putting w or -w in the shortcut to run it doesn't make it go window. Sorry to hijack...
When I make a shortcut and use w or -w after the galciv2.exe file name, it's not loading up in Windowed mode. I do have the temporary serial number while waiting for the pre-ordered retail box to arrive if that makes a difference. Can anyone help me?
I'm having trouble accessing older items in the general section of the library. Whenever I click the next button, or one of the numbers, it takes me into the ship's listing.
I like the idea of building a train of colony ships, could make them walk that way too, saves on fuel!
And it would lead to the newest dance show sensation to hit the holos. The Coooooolony Train.
Then QSI took over and decided to scrap everything emerich did and redo the whole thing.
Sounds kind of like Rick Berman and all that's been done to Star Trek in his name. You get someone taking over a project, and rather than build on what's been done before tries to implement their own 'vision' of how it should be. The point being that they want it to be -their- baby, to get credit if it succeeds. So in this case, QSI could have made an improved MoO2, but then
I'm having the same crash issues. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice and it crashes in the same place. If I make no moves in that round, it'll crash during the next round. Is there any fix for this in the works? Should I send in files to be looked at and if so which ones? deburr.err and gc1.log? At this point the game is pretty much unplayable for me, and just when I started to push the Drengin back, too! :sniff!:
