Duel: Opponent never moved?!?! in Game Talk GalCiv2 Forums

So I fired up ToA last night for a quick duel game against the Arceans. I chose the symmetry map and played as the Altarians. I end up occupying both star systems on the right and left and the central two systems without encountering my opponent at all (except I saw his survey ship once...) I finally crush their home world. Looks like they built no ships, expanded nowhere...I played on "Normal" difficulty. What gives? The AI can't been that passive. Did I mess up in the set-up of the game?</p

Map suggestion: when I am in the Planet List mode, I would like to see on the map (perhaps the tactical version) which planet I have selected on the list i.e at the same time. Many decisions regarding production choice are based on where the system is. ~SDC~

I am playing a game in which I built a massive starbase in a sector with a Drengin system. My starbase has the "reduce ennemy speed by 1" improvement. As a result (it seems) the Drengin system has built +/- 300 defender ships which are piled just one square away from their system. The Drengin have not moved them in dozens of turns. I keep blowing up a few units at a time in the Drengin stack, but they do not even fight back ??? BTW the Drengin empire overall has stopped almost any activities per
