I think a good idea would be to sell the manual by itself. I for one like to read in bed before it's lights out and I like to read my game manuals in addition to magazines, etc. Selling the game manual by itself would allow that.

One of the very first games I ever played on the first PC I bought back in the mid 80's (yes I'm old) was Starflight and later it's sequel Starflight 2. They were rpg's where you explored planets, interacted with alien species, fought battles in space and on the ground and just generally were great games. I would looooove to see a remake with all the whizz bang computer power available now. Stardock could pull it off I think.
I really like the person's idea on mayors for cities. Methinks that after playing a large game city management would get bogged down quite a bit. Also some buttons to direct the mayors as to what to build, ie; production, research, population, soldiers; you get the idea. Some resources that were mentioned, gems, different types of trees for different weapon types, wild game, etc, I believe would be great to have. Also lets don't forget about resources in the ocea
I would come down on the side of more customization. Fiddlin' with stats, tendencies, body types, etc. is what I like to do.
I was able to play around 100 turns before but now with the newest update (downloaded a day or two ago) I can't play more that about 60 turns before a CTD. Think I'm just going to wait until they get further along before I even boot it up again.
Just pre-purchased Elemental and was wondering why it doesn't show up now in "My Games"? With Gal Civ 2 you could purchase it and immediately download whatever version was available at that time during it's development if memory serves me. Can you NOT do that with Elemental?
I was wondering if you can pre-purchase Elemental, download it in beta form and play around with it like I did with Gal Civ before it was released in final form? I've been eye-balling this game for months now and was reading thru some of the posts on this board and was just curious.
I posted this question the other day and no one answered so I will post it again. Patch before last I downloaded, plus brand new patch. Ever since I have not had any "tech" pictures in the little window in the tech tree page. What happened to my "tech" pic's?? Any ideas on how to get them back or what to do?
Ever since I downloaded one of the previous upgrades (I forget which one) I have not had any "media" in my Technology window. The descriptions and what other techs a particular one enables are there but NO graphic of the researched tech. Any ideas what went wrong or how to fix the problem would be most appreciated.
Any help would be appreciated. I've got version .91b with multimedia ver. 1.0.039. I play with large galaxy enable and anywhere from 4-9 civ's. Habital planets set to abundant, with planets and stars set to occasional, star density set to either loose or tight clusters, anomalies set to abundant and tech set to normal. I have the latest Nvidia driver 8.1.9.8. My machine is a P4-2ghz with 512 meg of ram, and my video card is a GeForce 5700LE with 256meg ram. About 30-45 minutes into every g
Am playing version .91 beta with the newest multi-media downloaded as of this morning (ver. 1.0.039 I believe). For the past several days, I get about an hour into my game and I get a CTD everytime. I'm playingi a large map with 4-9 other civilizations at either beginner or normal level. Habital planets are set to common, planets and stars are set to occasional, tech rate=normal as well as the other options. Brand new Nvidia driver (8.1.9.8). My machine is rather long in the tooth but stil
I thought that there were not going to be any more beta builds released to pre-order buyers after the .81 build? But, I logged onto Stardock a couple of nights ago and low and behold it asked if I wanted to upgrade to a .90 version which I did. What gives? Today I logged on and it says I can "update" to version .81?????? Any answers for this one guys? Thanks.
I'll wager the game you are thinking of is Star Fleet II. You could invade planets, board ships and other conquer the galaxy type things. The only other games I can think of that it might be are Sentinel Worlds: Future Magic and/or Hard Nova. Both excellent games for their day and I'm still wondering why nobody makes anything like them anymore.
