Hi. I've successfully made my first real gadget. Its a notifier for the site www.zorpia.com and interacts with an API there, to tell memebers when they have new messages or responses. It runs as a system tray item. I would love to make the system tray icon flash or animate or something when there are new messages. I accept this may not be possible, but wondered. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. Because I need to use combos and checkboxes, I'd rather stick to the activeX route. As its gonna be a gadget, and has a proper install, I went for the custom font. Works beautifully. The Microsoft Forms TextBox was a little strange (no caret showing). Thank again.

I am currently advising www.zorpia.com on a public API for their site. We are doing so with gadget authoring in mind. We are in beta testing. So far we have: 1) RSS Feeds for journals 2) XML/RSS for Albums 3) XML for freinds list 4) XML for subscriptions <

I've been messing around with making some gadgets - and here and there I would like some of the controls to be transpareny. Is there any way to make the DesktopX controls such as 'ListBox' transparent?

Hi - I bought DX 3 Pro the a few days ago, and it is lots of fun. I have already made an RSS reader for a well know blog/photoshare site - to keep track of specific users journals. I was able to quickly make something that looked cool and professional. The site owner was blown away and wants to make it available to all users. He now thinks I am a genious (but of course it was fairly easy). The documentation is fairly good to get s

Hi all. The DX 3 documentation states - "You can create simple popup menus and replace the default system tray menus...." While I am happy with making my own pop-ups, I can not figure out how to customize the default system tray menus. Any tips?

I'm still a little confused - I want to show my playlist in a custom interface. Is there a property I can access in VBScript, that returns the playlist as an array or something? If so - is there a refference somewhere to the DXPlayer properties and methods?
